It's amazing to see the price of LEO these days but it's even more amazing to remember the whole ride. As one of the people who have been here since Hive started and all the way back to the steemit days, i have to say that i witnessed LEO since its birth.

Now i don't remember the exact details and such because it's been years but i remember that I first heard about LEO from @trumpman. LEO back then was a Hive token, let's say and you could only write about finance-related posts. This was the Hive era that we had multiple communities with their own tokens in an attempt to let's say build a niche, organize things better, have their tokens appreciate in time and ofc attract more like-minded people.

To tell you the truth, for various reasons, this was pretty much a disaster. Most of these tokens don't even exist now or have close to 0 value. There are some that have survived but like survivors, they are not in a pretty state.

Having a background in economics, finance, marketing and such i decided to write some posts there. I also found the opportunity to write a post through LEO and earn Hive as well, to pretty interesting to tell you the truth. That was the case though with all the second-layer tokens.

Now, LEO had a difference though since the beginning. @khaleelkazi, along with the team have already gathered some like-minded people and quickly built a great team and community. That had the following results:

1) An amazing community where people interact, help each other and invest their money.
2) A team that was constantly building new things, like a new font, like new functionalities and was always looking for ways to increase the value of their token.

Ofc due to that 8 out of 10 of my post were through leofinance's front and i wasn't the only one. This ofc had a direct result on LEO's price and to give you some idea i went back like 5 years to see some of my posts. So at the beginning of 2021, like January or something, just look at LEO's price.

Ofc other factors played a role like more people getting into crypto, big pumps everywhere and such but LEO was 60 cents. Let alone that after literally a month just check the price below

Btw Hive was in better state than now, price-wise :P. Also, i think that during that time the team introduced CUB. Even though this ended up pretty badly in my opinion, back then we were all like crazy about what the future will entail with cub. This is not me just saying, again after on month (remember we talk about 2021) just look at the price of everything:

Can you believe that these prices were an actual thing, freaking 4 years ago? I also remember myself having way more free time than now, i was constantly on LEO writing posts, reading, interacting and such. For a couple of months i treated LEO as "my part-time job".

Note that back then, LEO was bigtime about interaction, comments and related initiatives. They had like a weekly post with stats solely on actual comments, like a top 10-11 list with the top commenters. And when i say comment, i mean actual and meaningful comment not the type of comment that was like "follow for follow bro", "nice post", "Agree boss" and such.

Just look at the photo and see who managed to be second! I think i never surpassed @taskmaster4450. Now i will show you another initiative that highlighted the earnings one can get posting on LEO.

This was like 5 years ago, when LEO was 50 cents and is in fact days earlier than my 60 cents picture above. This list has the LEO earnings and Hive earnings separately and then a total per month. Due to my activity and by that i mean posting, curating and commenting and everything manually i managed to be in that list in the 22 out of 30 position.

An amazing amount if you ask me, especially back in those days, Ofc i could not live with that amount of money but i managed to accumulate it manually, having only spare time and my PC.

I also remember but i could not find it, a time that LEO climbed to 3$, can you even comprehend that? Since then, though, the downfall not only for LEO but for Hive and many cryptos out there started. LEO a month or months ago, was like 2 cents and now it is 14 and based on my posts you saw that there is still room for progress.

Literally, we have a x7. Which coin did this, these past months? I am also quite happy for a lot of people that all who time managed to accumulate a heavy stack. I know people who use to have like 4-5 years ago 40k of LEO or 100k of LEO and now have 150k of LEO and 1million!

To understand the difference, with 0.02 LEO these amounts that i mentioned above translate to 3000$ and 20000$. With LEO at 0.14 we have 21000$ and 140000$. Do you realise the difference in terms of earnings?

Also, all these years and even though i wasn't not that active due to limited free time, i managed to go from 2000 LEO, 5 years ago, to 21800 LEO today, 13000 staked and 8800 liquid! The goal is 15k staked for now and then maybe 20k!

All in all this was since the beginning and up until now a crazy crazy ride and i really hope that from now on, to see LEO keep increasing in price and more people to learn about it and why not Hive as well!

What's your opinion and how do you see this crazy ride?
