Before i even begin, i wanted to say that i had no idea what to write about today. Thanks to @acidyo now i do. You see he made a post where he is asking users to share a thing they like and dislike about Hive. If you go to his post and write a decent post, he may reward you with a nice upvote in your comment! That post gave me the idea to write my own post instead of making a comment and instead of 1 thing i like and dislike i will say 3 on each end!
The Good
The number 1 thing on Hive that i like is that literally everyone can start earning without investing a single 1$ out of their pocket, only their time. This is freaking awesome in my eyes as in most cases you always have to invest something first.
Even in terms of YouTube, for example, nowadays if you make a video using only your phone and such chances are that nobody will pay any attention to it. You will need proper or at least decent equipment. On Hive you simply need an internet connection and a phone with access to it and boom, you can start earning. It won't be easy but depending on where you are, it can prove awesome!
That leads us to number 2 which the opportunity for everyone to grow and make their lives a bit better. Ofc if you are from USA or Europe and you earn 50 cents or 1$ per post, nothing will change but if you are from a country that has like 10$ or 50$ or 100$ monthly salary, 1$ per day can help you a lot! Groceries, medicine can be bought using Hive! Ofc with hard work and a bit of luck, someone can earn from posting and curating 10$-30$ per day!
Last but not least my number 3 would be the freedom to both write and earn the way i want to. For example, i am not limited to doing one thing, i can write whatever i want to and feel like writing, play games or simply replying to comments. There is not specific recipe or way to follow which gives me the freedom to do as i please, ofc following some general guidelines like not being toxic or something!
The Bad
Now let's talk about the bad. I will mention 2 "bad" thing and i will keep the third one for the ugly part. So the first thing i dislike on Hive is that the way it is structured at least for now, it is really hard for me to do manual curation and discover new and amazing posts. It will take a lot of time for me to do that and i have done it in the past, investing like 5-8 hours per day in here. It was like having a part-time or full-time job. Now though, it's quite hard for me to keep up due to my time.
The second thing i dislike is that i don't think i see a lot of teamwork in terms of initiatives to make Hive the best one out there. I see some individuals or small teams trying out with their projects and such but everyone does it in their own way and mindset and a lot of times there are "fights" in between.
Instead i would like to see like a clear leadership and plan to coordinate all these efforts into a bigger and broader one but ofc when you're dealing with people,e it's always hard.
And the Ugly
Now the thing i dislike the most is the DHF and the way it is structured. In my opinion, it is the N1 reason Hive is at this price and the N1 way for people to take advantage of Hive. Don't get me wrong, the idea was great but the implementation not that much. Everything is stake-based, meaning that if i hold a lot of HP basically i can show the green light tothe project that will get funds.
Also funding is a great idea but always needs to come with consequences. I can't just take a funding of 100k, then never meet my goals or add no value to Hive and nothing will happen. Somehow all the projects need to be accountable based on the goals and deadlines they meet and above everything, the best for Hive should be taken into account!
That was it from my side, have a good day everyone!
