The last season of the Splinterlands game is over, and the new one has started, so now it is a time for me when I am going to claim the reward for the end of the season, as well as set up things for the new season, so I need to spend some time on the game today. First of all, I need to claim the reward, and I'm very happy to share that I was able to unlock the Champion 3 league, which I wanted to, and finally it happened. I have got 133K glint tokens as part of the end-of-season reward, which I think is great. This is a good balance of the token reward, and for now, I'm not going to use it, so it will be added to my existing balance, but the next action, which is due for me, is to buy the Wild Pass. Not because I have already claimed the reward for the season, so a Wild pass is necessary, which can enable me to play in the game in the current season, which has just started.
The cost of a wild pass is $2, which we can pay through different tokens, including credits as well as DEC, but I do not have enough balance of the DEC, so I chose to go with credits. For this purchase, I need to pay 2000 credits. Every wild season pass is applicable in the current season, and its validity also ends after the season ends. It is an easy process that does not take much time, and I think less than a minute is good enough to get this purchase done, and after the purchase, you are all good to go for the battles played in the wild format of the game in the ongoing season.
Some people find this cost unjustified, and they say that this is an additional cost on everyone who is playing the Wild format, which could be the case, because if there is no fee, the modern format obviously should not charge people who play in the Wild format. Ideally, both should be treated equally, but that is not the case, and it could be because the team wants more people to play in the Modern rather than Wild, and they encourage them to do this by adding some charges in the world format, which might make sense for them but not for many players. It is also right that the rewards are higher in the modern format, and it has no cost to play, but the rewards are reduced in the wild format. However, there is a cost to play, which is like you have to pay $4 a month since we get two seasons in every month, considering one season for two weeks.
My battle play has also started in the season, and I think now it is a good time for me to play more battles and increase my rating. Let's see how the season goes in the early days of the start.
