The Sandbag House Reno Project - shedding III

Back in May, I took the big step of moving my market "mess" out of the house and into the shed and to both start liberating space for The Corner and just generally get my house in order. The next step was to power it up and what a game changer that has been. Especially on a Saturday morning when it's still dark at 7am when I start loading for the market.

This is how it began - in it's raw, not quite organised state.

What a difference: a lick of paint on a rainy day as the shed continues to get cleared up and tidied. As you can see, I am really beginning to maximise my use of the space.

My gardener has taken to calling my commandeered space, my "deli" 🤭. It's ~~taken~~ some adjustment to not having my stash of jars and lids in the house and having to step out (sometimes in the rainy dark), is taking some getting used to. That said, this is also where the spare gas cylinder gets stored. Inevitably, the gas runs out at the most inconvenient time - as I cook supper - so not having to find a torch (flashlight), negotiate that and keys when I am in a hurry to couple up the new cylinder and not spoil the supper, is a godsend.

Since the new window was installed, I have had a welcome break from having workmen in the house. Not only because I needed my space (such as it is not) to myself, but also because I've had challenges with a difficult client.

That has passed (the issue with the client), and B the Builder and I have made some much needed decisions about the materials and the next steps, so it's time for the workers to come back and work on creating the new spaces.

I need to get this done...

As for the shed: when The Corner's done, and if there's paint left, my "deli" will get a second coat of paint...

Until next time image.png
