Here's my second entry for today's daily drawing challenge for the theme "Still Life". My drawing depicts a bundle of flowers in a vase half filled on water. Examples of flowers that need this sort of preservation are the water hyacinth, water iris, water poppy, lotus etc.
I used a black ball point and pelican paper for this drawing.
Here are the steps involved in the drawing.
Firstly, I drew the outline of the flowers in the vase.
Next, I began shading and adding details to both the flowers, the leaves, the water and the vase.
I kept shading and adding details until the drawing looked realistic. I also shaded the platform on which the vase was on in this stage.
