It’s raining outside Somehow that seems fitting God is crying with me.
Today would have made 37 years So many plans So many hopes Cut short
There is no longer we- Only me But in some ways It will always be- Us and We
We raised 5 kids. We held 8 grandkids. We made so many friends. We served in 5 churches. We worked on our own blueberry farm. We built a legacy!
There is just too much of us In our home. It paralyzes me And I can’t move on, So I have to let it go But I’ll take the memories with me.
I’ve never been alone. It's hard to face the world And it’s scary. At first I was angry, How could you leave me? But you didn’t .
I feel you everywhere! In my kids In my grandkids In me.
You rubbed off on me, And I’m pulling from that strength And know-how and wisdom. And I’m going to be fine.
Wherever I go, Whatever I do, Whoever I become, You will always be a part of me. And I will always love you.
