Ahora y después de más de 30 años Michael Keaton volverá a ponerse la capa para interpretar a Batman una última vez en la última película de DC conocida como The Flash, tal vez sea puro fanservice, pero será algo que no voy a perderme por nada del mundo. I started by making the silhouette of the dark knight with a white school color super useful for sketching on dark paper since it is easier to remove when you want to paint and remove the guidelines. When doing this step I couldn't help but remember that Michael Keaton couldn't move sideways in this suit since the neck part had no mobility.
Comencé haciendo la silueta del caballero oscuro con un color blanco escolar súper útil para hacer bocetos en papel oscuro ya que es más fácil de remover cuando se quiere pintar y quitar las líneas guías. Al hacer este paso no pude evitar recordar que Michael Keaton no podía moverse para los lados con este traje ya que la parte del cuello no tenía movilidad.

The first step in painting this portrait is to make the eyes, so before outlining I paint the background black, this step is important to be able to highlight the eyes in contrast to the black leather of the mask.
El primer paso en cuanto a pintar este retrato es hacer los ojos, así que antes de delinear pinto el fondo de color negro, este paso es importante para poder resaltar los ojos en contraste con el cuero de color negro de la máscara.

I continue then with the other eye and thus in this way have a perspective of the face. The next step is very important, because here I begin to draw the reflections of light on the latex leather of the Batman bat suit, so I start from the part of the left profile, which is where this reflection receives the most and from there to the rest of the the mask.
Continúo entonces con el otro ojo y así de esa forma tener una perspectiva del rostro. El paso siguiente es muy importante, porque aquí comienzo a dibujar los reflejos de la luz sobre el cuero látex del traje de murciélago de Batman, así que comienzo por la parte del perfil izquierdo que es donde más recibe este reflejo y de ahí al resto de la máscara.

Now the next step is to paint the uncovered part of the mask that includes the lower part of the nose, lips and chin. Here I use various types of white, first the school white to make a base, then prismacolor premier white which is more intense and lastly the white charcoal which is a more intense white as if it were acrylic paint, the latter is for the brighter part.
Ahora el paso siguiente es pinatr la parte descubierta de la máscara que incluye la parte inferior de la nariz, los labios y la barbilla. Aquí uso varios tipos de color blanco, primero el color blanco escolar para hacer una base, seguidamente blanco prismacolor premier que es más intenso y en última instancia el carboncillo blanco que es un blanco más intenso como si fuera pintura acrílica, este último es para la parte más iluminada.

To finish with the white prismacolor color, I made the reflection dimly at the ends of the mask. In the inner part, where the shadows are, I reinforced with the black color to achieve more darkness at this point. In the same way, I went over with the white pastel chalk in the most illuminated parts. I corrected all the details that I overlooked while drawing in order to achieve more realism, in this way the drawing was finished.
Para finalizar con el color blanco prismacolor hice el reflejo de forma tenue por los extremos de la máscara. En la parte interna, donde están las sombras, reforcé con el color negro para lograr más oscuridad en este punto. De la misma forma, repasé con la tiza pastel blanco en las partes más iluminadas. Corregí todos los detalles que pasé por alto mientras dibujaba para así lograr más realismo, de esta manera quedó finalizado el dibujo.

This is how the portrait of Batman was left, I chose a presentation of his second film entitled Returns, to relate it to his soon new appearance. Así quedó el retrato de Batman, escogí una presentación de su segunda película titulada Returns, para relacionarlo con su pronta nueva aparición.
