Hello dear friends of Anime Realm, I hope you are all doing well. Today I want to share with you a drawing I made, and I'd like to show you how I did it. My drawing is a fan art of the warrior Son Goku as a child, a drawing I've always loved because of all the adventures he lived in search of the powerful Dragon Balls with his friends. During his adventures, he learned martial arts and defeated the Red Patrol, who wanted to conquer the world. So with that in mind, I made this drawing. I'm also sharing a short video showing how it went step by step. I hope you like it.
Hola queridos amigos de Anime Realm espero que todos se encuentren muy bien, hoy quiero compartir con ustedes un dibujo que hice y me gustaría mostrarles como lo hice. Mi dibujo se trata de un fan art del guerrero Son Gokú en su etapa de niño, una que siempre me gustó por todas las aventuras que vivió en la búsqueda de las poderosas esferas del dragón en compañía de sus amigos. Así en sus aventuras aprendió de las artes marciales y venció a la Patrulla Roja que deseaba conquistar el mundo. Así que con esto en mente hice este dibujo, comparto también un video corto de como fue el paso a paso, espero que les guste.

I drew the picture on a rectangular piece of cardboard, and I used a 2H graphite pencil to make the sketch and all the lines. This pencil has a very hard tip, so the lines are clear and easier to erase when I need to use colors or markers.
El dibujo lo hice en un trozo de cartulina con un corte rectangular, y para hacer el boceto y todas las líneas utilicé un lápiz de grafito 2h. Este lápiz posee una punta muy dura por lo que el trazo de las líneas queda claro y así es más fácil de borrar al momento de que se deban utilizar los colores o los marcadores.

I continued to draw all the lines until I had the sketch of the model completed. After that, I started using a very fine-tipped marker, like a fountain pen, to color in all the lines. I don't usually do this in my drawings when they're blank; I always leave it for the end. However, in this case, I did the exact opposite, just for the sake of experimentation.
Seguí haciendo todas las líneas hasta tener el boceto del modelo completado. Después de eso comencé a utilizar un marcador de punta muy fina, como un estilógrafo para darle color a todas las líneas, no suelo hacer eso siempre en mis dibujos cuando están en blanco, sino que siempre lo dejo para el final, sin embargo en este caso hice todo lo contrario por simple experimento.

With this fine-tip marker, I went over the entire drawing. I really liked the outline of little Goku's face. If I had just left it like that and added the shadows, it would have looked manga-style. After that, I switched to a thicker-tip, black marker to paint the hair and start adding color to my drawing from there.
Con este marcador de punta fina etsuve recorriendo todo el dibujo, me gustó mucho cuando vi el rostro del pequeño gokú cuando ya estaba delineado, si solo lo hubiera dejado así, y le agregaba las sombras hubiera quedado como estilo manga. Luego de eos cambié a un marcador de punta mas gruesa y de color negro para pintar el cabello y comenzar por ahí agregarle color a mi dibujo.

After all that, I started painting. This time, instead of using crayons, I used alcohol-based markers. So, I painted everything: the hair, Goku's uniform, and even his face, creating a contrast between the light and dark colors. This would be the first layer of colors, which always looks somewhat superficial.
Después de todo eso comencé a pintar, esta vez en lugar de utilizar colores de cera utilicé marcadores de tinta a base de alcohol. Así que pinte todo, el cabello, el uniforme de Gokú y tambien su cara, haciendo contraste entre los colores claros y los oscuros. Esta sería la priemra capa de colores que siempre se ve algo superficial.

In the second layer, I'm using colors that are a little darker. For example, if I used a very light pink, I'd use a fuchsia that would be a little darker. This way, I can achieve contrast on the face. Similarly, with the uniform, I don't have orange, but by mixing several colors with an ochre yellow, I can create contrast for the uniform, and thus the drawing gains depth. To finish, I begin outlining the entire drawing again, but with a dark marker with a slightly thicker tip.
En la segunda capa estoy utilizando colores que son un poco más oscuros. Por ejemplo, si utilizo un color rosado muy claro, utilizo un fucsia que sería un poco más oscuro, de esta manera puedo logra run contraste en el rostro. De la misma manera con el uniforme, no tengo color naranja pero a traves de la mezcla de varios colores que se mezclan con un color amarillo ocre puedo hacer el contraste para el uniforme y así el dibujo puede lograr profunidad. Para finalizar, comienzo a delinear todo el dibujo otra vez pero con un marcador oscuro de una punta un poco más gruesa.
What did you think of the result? It's the first time I've used only markers without mixing them with traditional wax crayons. Qué les ha parecido el resultado? es la primera vez que utilizo solamente marcadores sin mezclarlos con lápices de color tradicional de cera. El resultado me gustó, sin duda me recuerda los años marvailloso de Gokú y mi propia infancia.
