1️⃣ If I could bring one special dish to our anniversary table, it would definitely be jollof rice. This meal is more than just food; it’s a story of unity, laughter, and togetherness. Jollof rice has a way of gathering people, no matter their background, tribe, or taste. The moment the aroma of seasoned tomatoes, peppers, and spices fills the air, you already know that something special is about to happen.
For me, jollof rice carries memories of family celebrations where the pot was always bigger than usual because visitors were expected. I remember watching my mother stir the pot with care, adding just the right amount of seasoning, and smiling because she knew the joy that awaited everyone.
