I FUCKING HATE THE TIME CHANGE!!!!!! It is pure and utter bullshit! So I of course was awake at 3:30am yesterday morning so had a good bit of time before I could make much noise. It was around 7:30 when I finally kicked the printer on and got parts printing. These first two pieces are for my Johnny 5 I printed which I will post about on its own as it is super cool.
Then I tried the NASA fabric in the smallest form.
Even this little patch took a long time to print given all the little arms holding the panels together. SUPER cool and I got the full plate size set and printing for 7+ hours.
We got a really nice sunny day that got a bit warm later in the day.
I emptied my truck out and pulled the topper from the back. I nee to watch for Harbor Freight coupons so I can get the portable garage for cheaper.
Took FOREVER for the fabric to print but this is why. SOOOOO many little arms.
I was noticing the wind was tossing the tree tops around and I grabbed my wing and hiked up to the hill. I got to the top and the wind was blowing opposite what I needed.
So I sat and looked out over the valley for a while and waited to see if it would change but it never did so back down the hill I hiked.
My shoulder is FINALLY ok enough for me to get some time at the board which I have missed. My form is returning a bit and my aim is still not too bad.
5pm the fabric was finally finished and holy balls is it cool as shit!
I am REALLY wanting to make a shirt out of this stuff!!! It could totally be used as armor for a battle bot, scale it taller to give more crush space and use a CF or TPU filament. TPU could be quite interesting to give it bounce.
It molds around most anything and the major hurdle is how to connect the sheets together....
What a shellacking the Seahawks put on the other Washington team. Took out their QB in his first game back, then went on to steam roll by the end of the game.
MADDENING! First two darts slide in and then that damned 3rd dart just can't follow!
Good to see the Hawks actually doing something this year.
I had pulled out a roast earlier and had it thawed then got it in the oven. I had stabbed it cross section numerous times and when it came out after about 70 minutes at 300F it was PERFECT!
I haven't cooked a roast this tender in a long time. Thanks Grok for the suggestion.
@stryeyz has a number of things she needs printed and this one is a tablet stand for her that is a business card holder scaled up.
Then to try and use filament up I printed a few 2 inch tall ones.
This morning R and I have PT then I will get him to school. Rain all week long so I only have a few hours this morning to work outside in the dry. Filament delivers today for @stryeyz projects I need to print, will cancel the storage unit, send a return envelope for my truck keys, then come up with dinner this evening.
