First thing yesterday morning I had the 3d printer going with the red ABS. I had found this gas cap storage model for the gas door.
The moths refuse to go in the trap and just hang out near it...
Not much in the garden to harvest, most everything is still needing more time to grow. It will make it nice for everyone here then that they will only need to harvest a couple times likely.
Last load of wash hung on the line to dry so I could finish packing later.
THIS was super nice to print out.
It is a new cup holder to replace the stock one. THIS one fits my Yeti mug perfectly!
Just badass to be able to print out new parts.
Part of my morning was spent fiddling with funds and shifting things around a bit to do a little learning about flash futures. Just a crazy concept to me.
The gas door on my truck has been broken for a while. The clasp that holds it shut is long gone and the bottom of the hinge is broken. But I was able to rebend the top clasp to get it to hold well enough and then needed to figure out how to hold the door shut. I decided to pop out a rubber bumper, drill a hole, then install a magnet.
The magnet is in the top right corner and the door fits perfectly over it and it holds it tight. I also have the cap holder installed.
Over the afternoon I worked my ass off to get the battery box built.
I managed to find out the battery is shit in the process but the rig came together pretty nicely.
I have wires to connect the panels, wires to connect to my truck battery, then in the top I have mounted the terminal block and have the 12 volts powered from there.
When I get the new battery this morning this thing will be badass and will be great at keeping my truck battery topped off and a big ball of power to charge all my various things I will have with me.
The bed packed up super nicely. My crash pads fit just right, and everything locks down.
Had to go pickup J after cross country.
Then I got the trailer hooked up for the grain run I have done this morning already.
Most stuff packed we went out to soak for a while.
I have been to town for grain already and will empty it out after I drop J at school, then I have my PT, will stop for a new battery, come home for a bit then will be leaving for Montana were I will be heading to Helena and Canyon Ferry Lake for my Paragliding SIV course.
