I saw 4:04 and was up before then but then caught the 4:44. While I apparently don't seem to need the sleep it is a bit annoying, but mornings are nice and quiet...
@stryeyz and J went to the triathlon up at the lake for the morning which left R and I home. I headed out to get the harvests done and managed a nice pile of produce.
So after getting the truck towed home the night before I headed out to see if my thoughts were right. I was correct in thinking it was something to do with the dipstick, the oring had broken on it and was allowing the oil to blow past. So after fixing it and reinstalling I drained the oil and put the proper amount back in. I also got a clamp on the exhaust to seal it up which sounds better but still not exactly right.
The real problem now is that the oil light comes on when the engine is idling. Once the RPM is up over 1000 the light goes off. There is ample oil in...
So off I went on a test drive to North 40 to get a few things. Dog and chicken food plus some stuff for the truck. It drove okay but I am not used to the gearing compared to the sled. The thing was rolling at 2k rpm at 70 mph in 5th gear and it just felt odd.
I found that possibly the oil pressure switch was bad so off to town @stryeyz and I went to hit Harbor Freight for a oil pressure tester and Napa for a new switch. On the way home we were going to hit Hop Mtn for a beer but they had a big event going on so we went up the road to Cinola and had a bit to eat and some beers for a little mini date.
Back on the farm I got the switch installed and then checked for any codes.... The fucking oil light still comes on at idle.... The truck is seeming to be running okay and none of the metrics seem off from the OBD.
We ended up sitting and talking for a while on one of the trees.
Then soaked for a while.
Today I have to try and figure out the truck issue, get the printer going on id cases, PDC is going, NFL starts, I have to put my tools away, prep the farm for rain this week, try to get my body to mellow and stop being in so much pain, and bag the peas before the rains.
