Another stupid early morning yesterday, just like today. It's that time of year where I am up hours before the sun and get to watch the first bits of dawn crack open the black of the night. The PDC was on so I got to watch a number of the matches. In the End Humphries won and defended his title.
I was out picking the summer squash and came across a pair that had been hiding for days. I had looked right past them multiple times....
The cucumbers and tomatoes had a nice amount ready.
It was still early when I took the bag out to the peas and they were still a bit damp from overnight so I let them sit in the sun for part of the day before bagging them and dropping them in the house.
I have no idea what the hell the hornets were mobbing the oak tree for but the tree was covered in them. They weren't eating on the leaves but were getting something off of them.
Even the lady bugs were roaming amongst the various other insects. Odd they all were enamored by the red oak.
The beehive entrance had needed some serious work so I got my bee suit on and fixed it up. I had to hack off a piece of the siding below the entrance to make room.
The main reason was to cover the gaps on either side of the entrance.
It took them a while to get the pheromones back around the entrance and some of the bees had a hard time getting back in the hive for a while. This covered all the gaps and will be much better for the coming winter.
So the truck has an issue at idle. At rpm the oil pump is giving me 60 psi which is ample but at idle it dies off and bottoms out. I tested with the big gauge but will try it with the 100 psi today so I can get a better reading.

Watermelons were ready in the garden and the largest ended up at 12 pounds.
I was looking at mounting the case in the truck for the various fluids but ended up making room behind the back seat for them.
The acorn squash had a nice number ready and ended up at about 40 pounds plus a few tiny ears of corn.
And the third set of holders printed out.
LOL, Seahawks got spanked by SF. Portent of a shit season as per their usual.
Keep seeing the stupid time line up, both am and pm. This time happened to be in the afternoon instead of before dawn.
Boys made dinner which ended up pretty late but was still good and lead to a bit later soaking.
Cooler this week with rain in the forecast. I have a shit ton of cleaning up to do around the farm, decide what I am going to do with the truck and the oil pump, get the boys to school, my chair arrives today, and I will likely be picking J up after cross country practice.
