The fires in the region have made the sun and moon all but vanish in a hazy shade of smoke. The sun was so dim in the morning as I dropped the boys off at school I could look right at it.
OF COURSE there was a squash hiding in the plants. See it doesn't take but a day for them to turn to Akira.

It was mid morning when I got out to the truck and put it back together.
It was just before 1pm and I had all the parts on. It then started up and ran seemingly fine.
I cleared the codes and they stayed cleared.
I took it for a few mile drive and it did just fine aside from the exhaust leak I need new bolts to fix. The truck got up to highway speed okay.
Had forgotten about Nuun until I was looking for non-gmo electrolytes and happened back upon them.
With the truck seeming good I moved the sled over to the end of the hangar out of the way.
The cherry picker got moved under the wood cover to hopefully keep it out of the weather. I will cover it better for winter.
For the first time in months the canopy wasn't up and the tools are all cleaned up. I was feeling very reserved but stoked...
@stryeyz got home from work and we decided to take the truck for a test drive to get dinner in Deer Park. We got to The Pizza Factory and as I parked the oil light came on.... Went to Autozone and got a jug of oil, added, then started to drive for home when the engine lost power. I pulled back into Deer Park and ended up in the parking lot by the store. The truck was draining oil.
I KNEW IT WAS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE!!!
I think it may be from the dipstick tube. The oil is coming from that region and it could be the tube is not seated enough so the o-ring is able to keep the oil in the pan.
So what should have been a half hour trip turned into a 2 hour trip with AAA coming and towing my truck back to the farm.
So I got dropped with the truck then hopped in the car and drove back up to Deer Park to pickup @stryeyz and the boys. J needs more of the id holders so I got a plate of black printed but he needs blue and green as well.
Out to soak for a while before bed. Granted I slept for shit as usual and got to see my favorite time again this morning... 4:04...
@stryeyz and J are going up to do the running portion of a mini triathlon at Diamond Lake this morning while I will be trying to fix my fucking truck. I am so sick of taking 2 steps forward and one step back with everything I do in life. I can't win for losing. My arm is still going to sleep on me in the wrong positions but at least my shoulder doesn't have a red hot poker jabbing it constantly...
Seriously FML!
