A couple of weeks ago, I expanded my experimentation to Velodrome to see how easy or difficult it was to surpass the 15% return offered by HBD, and I have to say I was surprised by how easy it was. It's true that you have to navigate a bit with impermanent loss, but that doesn't seem too difficult to me if you use high-quality tokens like Bitcoin. It's also true that not only impermanent loss exists, but also impermanent gain, which isn't talked about as much.

So this week I reduced the investment in the experiment a bit, because I want to try new things on the Plasma network, which has some interesting features for the stablecoin world. On Velodrome, I modified the pool size to avoid having to intervene so much. It's not that it's expensive to modify, but I didn't want to be so on top of it. It's true that short-term profitability suffers a bit, but returns still exceed 30%, which is much higher than here at Hive. Stability is good, and the worst that can happen is that you end up with Bitcoin. It's not a bad token to own.
