In my quest to learn about DeFi this week, I've moved a bit away from Hive, in this case to the Optimism blockchain, which is also a very cheap network to use and where a multitude of tests can be run.

For my experiment, I decided to use Velodrome Finance, which has interesting pools. I've also opted for two investment pools: one for stable coins, which yields acceptable but not extraordinary returns. I've also bet on the BTC vs. USDC pair, which does yield even better returns than Hive-Engine. The returns are divided into two: the pair's tokens and a reward in Velo. The reward tokens tend to drop continuously, but I have a strategy in place to mitigate these effects, and the low costs of this network allow me to execute it very well.
