Last September 2, 2025 my childhood bestfriend's daughter celebrate her first birthday. A night before the said day my friend went to our home. She personally invite me about the said occassion. And to respect I attended the said party.
During the said day, I had my duty first. Since the party will held at 3 in the afternoon at ther residence. I got off from work at 1 in the afternoon.
As I got home, I took my lunch first, then I went to my cousin. We will went there together. But before that, we decided to go to the nearest shopping mall to buy a gift for the celebrant. And I choose a terno dress, while my cousin choose a long dress. I didn't got the chance to take a picture for the gift because, after we bought it, we went to there home directly.
As we arrived at there home, there still no visitors yet. We are the first one who arrive. There are also no childrens yet, because they are still at school, since it' s tuesday and school days.
We wait for a little time, and here comes the visitors and the childrens. Before we ate, we sang a song first to the celebrant. The motif that my friend prepared was little mermaid. Then after we sang, the most awaited part in every parties was eating time.
There are lots of foods served. Snacks, pika-pika and more. And ofcourse pictures will not be forgotten. It's for the memories.
After we ate, we had "Tagay" means to drink. We drink coconut wine. And while we are drinking the parlor games for the kids started. The games are "breaking the pot" and "pabitin"*. It's the common game in every birthday here in the Philippines.
Everyone was so happy. We enjoy the food and games. It's indeed a happy birthday. I am so thankful for my friend for inviting me. Because after a long time, we got time to bond each other even in this way. I enjoyed a lot and I will never forget this moment.
