Ciertamente, cocinar me da un placer increíble; la liberación de dopamina y serotonina al ver mis platillos realizados de manera correcta y poderlos mostrar, ¡Me encanta! Pero, qué hay de aquellos momentos, dónde es el momento perfecto para probar la sazón de otras personas y culturas; no podemos negarnos, así que hoy les llevo a un sitio que tiene años en mi ciudad, pero no lo había visitado en su nueva sede, con cambios muy positivos incluidos:

Certainly, cooking gives me incredible pleasure; the release of dopamine and serotonin when I see my dishes made correctly and being able to show them off, I love it! But, what about those moments when it's the perfect time to taste the seasoning of other people and cultures; we can't deny ourselves, so today I take you to a place that has been in my city for years, but I had not visited in its new location, with very positive changes included:
KLEYOPATRA RESTAURANT.
Es un sitio que vende comida tradicional árabe; anteriormente estaba en una locación y esta vez la cambiaron. Pasé una pena inmensa porque juraba que seguía en el mismo sitio y resulta que, desde hace un año, funciona en su nueva locación. Sí, no soy de salir mucho y menos a comer árabe.
Mi J.J. Por el contrario, en una ocasión que salimos quedo "embobado" con la máquina de shawarma que estaba afuera y a la vista de todos, quedando siempre pendiente "tenemos que venir a comer allí", pero no se había dado la oportunidad.
It's a place that sells traditional Arabic food; it was previously in one location and this time they changed it. I felt immense embarrassment because I swore it was still in the same place, only to find out that for a year it has been operating in its new location. Yes, I don't go out much, especially not to eat Arabic food.
My J.J. On the contrary, one time we went out, he was 'spellbound' by the shawarma machine that was outside and in plain view, always saying 'we have to come eat there,' but the opportunity never came.

Pues, el local es hermoso, amplio, limpio, iluminado, con dos ambientes (con aire acondicionado y sin aire) que son igual de acogedores que el resto. La atención es de primera, porque siempre están muy atentos a nuestras exigencias y colaboraciones.
Yo debo reconocer que no había probado más allá del shawarma y los falafel en cuanto a comida árabe; creo que era por mi miedo a lo desconocido y no salir de mi zona de confort. Hoy que como ¡CASI TODO!, me atreví a probar esta bandeja de diferentes sabores y platillos en una sola. Mi estrategia fue probar primero para saber qué sabor me agradaba y cuál no:
Well, the venue is beautiful, spacious, clean, well-lit, with two areas (one with air conditioning and one without) that are just as cozy as the rest. The service is top-notch, as they are always very attentive to our demands and collaborations.
I must admit that I hadn't tried anything beyond shawarma and falafel when it comes to Arab food; I think it was due to my fear of the unknown and not stepping out of my comfort zone. Today, since I eat almost everything, I dared to try this platter of different flavors and dishes all in one. My strategy was to taste them first to know which flavors I liked and which I did not.

La mayoría de las cosas me gustaron: el falafel, las empanadas de cordero, la salsa de pimentón y la de berenjena (creo) y los cortes de carne; todos estuvieron demasiado buenos. Ahora, los tabacos de lechuga y el kibbe los deje pasar, no fueron de mi agrado. Esta bandeja alcanzó para todos y sobró.
I liked most of the things: the falafel, the lamb empanadas, the paprika sauce and the eggplant sauce (I think), and the cuts of meat; they were all too good. Now, I passed on the lettuce wraps and the kibbeh, I didn't like them. This platter was enough for everyone and there were leftovers.

La novedad es que al cantar cumpleaños (tradición al final de la celebración), los meseros se acercaron con instrumentos para acompañarnos y hacer el rato más ameno.

Pero, mientras disfrutábamos de todo lo sabroso y delicioso del platillo, mi J.J. no dejaba de ver la preparación del shawarma, así que seguimos con el antojo, porque me uno a su petición, ya que esos olores y la vista que teníamos era tentativa y provocadora 😊. No quisimos comprar para llevarlo porque no llega igual y la idea es disfrutarlo en el sitio para las fotitos ¡Pronto se los traigo! 😎.
En conclusión, el sitio es uno de los más concurridos en la ciudad, los precios son accesibles, aceptan Cashea (financiamiento), y todo es excelente. Lo único malo, la música es muy baja y casi inexistente, así como un TV muy pequeño para todo el local. Esa noche jugaba la vinotinto y fue muy difícil apreciarlo desde el ángulo que estábamos. Podrían mejorar eso y será lo máximo 💯.
But, while we enjoyed all the tasty and delicious things about the dish, my J.J. couldn't help but watch the preparation of the shawarma, so we continued with the craving because I joined his request, since those smells and the view we had were tempting and provocative 😊. We didn't want to buy it to take away because it just doesn't taste the same, and the idea is to enjoy it on-site for the pictures. I will bring them to you soon! 😎.
In conclusion, the place is one of the most visited in the city, the prices are affordable, they accept Cashea (financing), and everything is excellent. The only downside is that the music is very low and almost nonexistent, as well as a very small TV for the entire place. That night the vinotinto was playing and it was very difficult to appreciate it from the angle we were at. They could improve that and it would be amazing 💯.
