Hello! Hello!
Taking advantage of my visit to the PDVSA building located in Guaraguao, Anzoátegui, Venezuela, I was amazed by this gem that combines art, architecture, and nature in one place.
Perhaps we are used to tourist sites, but this building certainly deserves to be known BY EVERYONE, because it is here that the workers who keep the oil industry going make their living; and although hundreds of people routinely work here, not everyone has access to this place, unless you are invited (and even then, only to certain areas).
I had to give a spelling training course at the PDVSA headquarters, and I realized that where I was walking, IT WAS A PLACE THAT HAD TO BE SHOWN OFF! And no one realized it; they just go, work, and go home. Seriously?
I think that whoever designed this building did so with the aim of creating a comprehensive work environment, that is, not just going to work, but also entertaining yourself, relaxing, learning, breathing, and moving forward; but not many people appreciate it.
I talked to the participants and some of them hadn't even noticed some of the paintings or places to visit. And I noticed that this doesn't only happen in this place, but in many places that we don't praise.
So here I share some photos of my tour of this building.
Aprovechando la visita al edificio PDVSA ubicado en Guaraguao- Anzoátegui- Venezuela, quedé maravillada con la joya que combina arte, arquitectura y naturaleza en un solo lugar. Quizás estamos acostumbrados a sitios turísticos, pero ciertamente, esta joya arquitecntónica merece ser conocido POR TODO EL MUNDO, porque aquí hacen vida trabajadores y trabajadoras que mantienen la industria petrolera; y aunque son cientos los que rutinariamente trabajan acá, no todo el mundo tiene acceso a este lugar, al menos que seas invitado (y solo a ciertas áreas).
Me tocó dar una formación sobre ortografía en la sede de PDVSA y me di cuenta que por donde caminaba ¡ERA UN LUGAR QUE TENÍA QUE SER MOSTRADO! Y nadie se daba cuenta, solo van, trabajan y se regresan a su hogar ¿Es en serio? Creo que el o los que diseñaron este edificio, lo hicieron con el fin de un trabajo integral, es decir, no solo ir a trabajar, sino entretenerte, relajarte, aprender, respirar y seguir adelante; pero, no muchos lo aprecian.
Yo hablaba con los participantes y algunos ni cuenta se habían dado de algunos cuadros o lugares para visitar. Y noté, que eso no pasa solo en ese lugar, sino en muchos lugares que no exaltamos. Así que acá les comparto algunas fotos de mi recorrido por este edificio.
Upon entering this building, we find this fountain that welcomes all workers. I have been to other PDVSA buildings, and fountains are a characteristic feature; I realized that there is staff who keep them clean and operational. I would sit there and forget all my problems 😊.
Al entrar a esta edificación, nos encontramos con esta fuente que da la bienvenida a todos los trabajadores. Ya he ido a otros edificios de PDVSA y las fuentes son algo característicos; me di cuenta, que existe un personal que las mantiene limpias y operativas. Yo me sentaría allí y se olvidarían todos mis problemas 😊.
The building is enclosed, with plenty of air conditioning, vertically oriented, with many doors leading to offices, meeting rooms, conference rooms, training spaces, and whatever other spaces are needed to serve the workers of our country's largest oil production industry. I was unable to obtain exact data on its construction or remodeling, but many people confirm that it was already there before I was born (about 30 years ago).
El edificio es cerrado, con mucho aire acondicionado, de manera vertical, con muchas puertas que son oficinas, salones de reunión, salones de conferencias, espacios de formación, y cuantos lugares se necesiten para atender a los trabajadores de la mayor industria productora de petróleo de nuestro país. No logré conseguir datos exactos de construcción o remodelación, pero muchas personas confirman que antes de nacer, ya eso estaba allí (hace unos 30 años).
Now, I'll show you what I loved about the institution. It's worth noting that it's located on the upper floors, where few people have access. I think they're true works of art; I assume they're collections made exclusively for PDVSA, but it would be interesting to take a guided tour so they could explain each one. I recognized some heroes of our independence, other great figures from the 1800s, and some whose names we discussed but couldn't agree on.
We forgot to use AI and simply search for them in the cloud 🤣. That's a task for you:
Ahora, les muestro lo que me encantó de la institución. Cabe resaltar que se encuentra en los pisos superiores, es decir, donde pocos tienen acceso. Yo pienso que son una verdadera obra de arte; asumo que son colecciones realizadas exclusivamente para PDVSA, pero sería interesante hacer un tour guiado para que expliquen cada una de ellas. Yo reconocí algunos próceres de nuestra independencia, otros grandes personajes de los años 1800, y algunos que discutimos sus nombres, pero no llegamos a acuerdos. Se nos olvidó hacer uso de la IA y simplemente buscarlos en la nube 🤣. Eso es tarea para ustedes:
What they boast about most is their privileged view of Pozuelos Bay in Puerto la Cruz, Anzoátegui State, Venezuela. You may know the bay from the Paseo Colón or a photo taken from the ferry, but believe me, it is VERY RARE TO BE ABLE TO PHOTOGRAPH AND APPRECIATE IT FROM THIS ANGLE, so when I saw it, I felt the true peace I needed at that time.
The place exudes tranquility, your gaze is lost on the horizon, and it is a mixture of the naturalness of the sea and its passivity, with the congestion and agitation of the oil industry.
As I mentioned, if the fountain gave me peace of mind, this view is what I need every day to have a truly excellent day 💯; nothing can go wrong.
Lo que más presumen ellos, es su privilegiada vista a la bahía de Pozuelos de Puerto la Cruz, estado Anzoátegui- Venezuela. Quizás la bahía, posiblemente, la conocen por el paseo Colón o alguna foto desde el ferri, pero créanme que MUY POCAS VECES SE PUEDE FOTOGRAFIAR Y APRECIAR DESDE ESTE ÁNGULO, así que cuando la vi, me sentí en la verdadera paz que necesitaba en esos días. El lugar muestra quietud, se pierde la mirada en el horizonte, y es una mezcla de lo natural del mar y su pasividad, con lo congestionado y agitado de la industria petrolera. Como les comenté, si la fuente me dio tranquilidad, esta vista es lo que necesito todos los días para tener un día verdaderamente excelente 💯; nada puede salir mal.
This is where ships arrive and load oil, so the activity there is not limited to workers, but also includes people from all over the world, where cultures and economies are exchanged. Unfortunately, there were no ships in the area loading or using the dock, so I owe you one 😉.
They even have a heliport! I'm told that when the president visits, they use this space for landing and takeoff. And here I was thinking that they came by road and had to wait five hours to get to the company.
Acá, es donde llegan los buques y cargan petróleo, así que la actividad allí no solo se limita a los trabajadores, sino a la atención con personas de todo el mundo, donde intercambian culturas y economía. Lamentablemente, no había buques en la zona cargando o usando el muelle, así que se los debo 😉. Incluso, ¡Tienen un helipuerto! Me comentan que cuando son las visitas presidenciales, usan este espacio para su aterrizaje y despeje. Y yo pensando que venían por carretera y debían esperar 5 horas de camino, para llegar a la empresa 😆.
In this space, we had the opportunity to have breakfast and lunch there, as well as take group photos and participate in outdoor activities that the participants enjoyed very much.
En este espacio, tuvimos la oportunidad de tomar el desayuno y almuerzo allí, además de las fotos grupales, aparte de hacer dinámicas al aire libre que disfrutaron muchísimo los participantes 😊.
It was a different kind of day, where I not only went to gather information, but also learned a lot about the industry that sustains our country and the activities that take place there every day. It is a building steeped in history and tradition, which has a lot to offer its workers, making their daily lives more enjoyable with very little; with just the sea, they have everything 💙.

Fue un día diferente, donde no solo fui a realizar una información, sino que aprendí muchas cosas de la industria que mantiene nuestro país y las actividades que allí realizan día a día. Es un edificio con historia y tradición, que tiene mucho que ofrecer a sus trabajadores, para que su día a día sea más ameno, con muy poco; solo con el mar, lo tienen todo 💙. Espero que haya sido de su agrado, y yo feliz de mostrarle un lugar que merece ser conocido por el mundo 😊.
