Leí en estos días la publicación de @helimar con el tema de Educación para padres y me quedé pensando en muchas cosas que me están pasando y quisiera comentar con todos ustedes.
Hablamos de los hijos, de su crianza, logros, orgullo y desafíos; sin embargo, existen temas que se están olvidando, como educar a los padres para tener hijos con conductas operativas, y la crianza de los hijos para atender a los padres.
Y sí, deberíamos hacer una comunidad distinta para que los hijos nos expresemos y ayudemos, pero mientras tenemos que hablar de padres con hijos y de cuando cambia la regla, como si fuera el ciclo de la vida, que nuestros padres, pasan a ser nuestros hijos.
Hello! Hello! My dear community of moms and dads, I hope everything is going well in your lives. I recently read @helimar's post on the topic of Parenting Education, and it got me thinking about many things that are happening in my life that I would like to share with all of you.
We talk about our children, their upbringing, achievements, pride, and challenges; however, there are topics that are being overlooked, such as educating parents to have children with functional behaviors and raising children to care for their parents. And yes, we should create a different community for children to express ourselves and help each other, but in the meantime, we have to talk about parents with children and when the rule changes, as if it were the cycle of life, that our parents become our children.
Mi madre es una persona muy activa. A sus 75 años todavía trabaja (en su propia oficina), se arregla, está actualizada y es experta en hacer pagomóvil (uso de aplicación móvil para hacer pagos). Como todo niño pequeño, también tengo que alejarla de todo el día pegada al teléfono. Resulta que su grupo de amigas, viven todo el día enviándose oraciones, chistes, videos de "médicos", soluciones curativas y otras cosas que, cada cierto tiempo, reviso su teléfono y borro para que no se sature de tantas cosas.
De igual forma, como sucede con los pequeños de la casa: si le quito el celular, ¿Qué le doy? Allí comienzan lo que llamo "actividades recreativas".
Afortunadamente, ella le gustan mucho las manualidades, pintura, hacer con sus manos. Ella me cuenta, que cuando era joven, hizo varios cursos de cerámica, pintura y aún conserva esos conocimientos. Por otro lado, he aprendido a pasearme en las tiendas por la sección de niños y papelería, porque allí siempre se consiguen este tipo de juegos didácticos para mejorar sus destrezas.
Like all young children, I also have to keep her away from her phone all day long. It turns out that her group of friends spend all day sending each other prayers, jokes, “doctor” videos, healing solutions, and other things that I periodically check her phone and delete so that it doesn't get overwhelmed with so much stuff. Similarly, as with the little ones in the house, if I take away her cell phone, what do I give her? That's when what I call “recreational activities” begin. Fortunately, she really likes crafts, painting, and working with her hands. She tells me that when she was young, she took several courses in ceramics and painting, and she still has that knowledge. On the other hand, I've learned to browse the children's and stationery sections in stores, because that's where you can always find these types of educational games to improve her skills.
La lista es variada. Lo que más le gusta son las sopas de letras, pero eso de verdad que se hace bien difícil de conseguir porque, honestamente, ya la gente no usa eso. Por eso, cada vez que las consigo, me traigo hasta dos para que tenga en sus tiempos libres.
En una visita a Mango Bajito (tienda departamental), conseguí estos dos juegos: La de la pintura de madera, con sus témperas y pincel incluido, y esta figura que me encantó, donde por número, vamos colocando el color que corresponde de "pelotita", hasta rellenar la figura.
The list is varied. What he likes most are word searches, but those are really hard to find because, honestly, people don't use them anymore. Me gustó lo intuitivo que es, porque trae 3 colores, cada color tiene impreso su número y en el cartón principal, tiene sus indicaciones de donde va cada uno. Con esta almohadilla roja, se adhieren las pelotas al indicador que luego es pegada en el cartón. Viene con las piezas contadas, así que cuidado con la manipulación porque se pierde una y queda incompleto el dibujo.
I liked how intuitive it is, because it comes with three colors, each color has its number printed on it, and the main cardboard box has instructions on where each one goes. With this red pad, the balls stick to the indicator, which is then stuck onto the cardboard. It comes with the pieces counted, so be careful when handling it because if you lose one, the picture will be incomplete.
A ella también le gustó y lo hizo de una manera ordenada y paciente, por lo que me sorprendió su técnica. Pienso que es por lo mismo que ya ha hecho manualidades y sabe que en la pausa, obtiene mejores resultados ¿Lo negativo? Es que compré solo uno para probar, lo hizo en dos días y ya he ido en otras ocasiones sin éxito de conseguirlos 😟. Estaban supereconómicos, así que espero conseguirlos pronto nuevamente; hasta yo haría uno 😉.
She also liked it and did it in an orderly and patient manner, so I was surprised by her technique. I think it's because she has done crafts before and knows that taking breaks leads to better results. The downside? I only bought one to try it out, she finished it in two days, and I've gone back several times since then without success 😟. They were super cheap, so I hope to get some more soon; even I would make one 😉.
Otra razón por la que me gusta tener estas actividades a la mano, es porque carecemos de electricidad constantemente y el tiempo puede alcanzar las 4 horas. Entonces, nos reunimos varios vecinos, contando los dos niños que quedan por la casa, y nos ponemos a inventar cuentos.
Ana tiene una caja de marcadores muy bonita y funcional, porque en cada punta tiene dos formas de tinta: una fina y una gruesa. Son muy económicos y de calidad, por eso que se los compré para que no pidiera los de la niña, ya que, una vez que los trajo, estuvo hablándome de ellos por varios días.
Como obra de Dios, ese mismo día conseguí un libro de mándalas que estaba más costoso que los marcadores 🙃, pero con el fin de generarle una nueva actividad lo compré.
Another reason I like to have these activities on hand is because we constantly have power outages that can last up to four hours. So, several neighbors get together, including the two children who are home, and we start making up stories. As if by divine intervention, that same day I found a mandala book that was more expensive than the markers 🙃, but I bought it anyway to give her a new activity.
Al igual que los niños, hay cosas que le gustan y cuando los tiene, ya ni los ve, porque no los ha usado ni la primera vez con la excusa que se pueden dañar, o dañar la hoja del libro 🙃. Pienso que es una conducta infantil orientada a: como ella creció con carencias, no le gusta usar las cosas, sino guardarlas y tenerlas allí. Eso también lo he aprendido, así que me toca esperar los momentos propicios para que los use.

Yo invierto en ellos, porque es una forma de mantenerla ocupada y activa; sin embargo, un juego de ludo, un stop, o algunos que aparecen por internet, son también opciones válidas para hacerlos sin necesidad de invertir dinero. Así que excusas no hay.
