I think that with all his trajectory he didn't need that, but we needed that mix! between rock, with a teen movie, linked with other genres, recognized actors and actresses, that song has it all. I know it's a cover version, but Marilyn performing it made us break that barrier we had with her music and her style and allowed us to open ourselves to listen a little more without seeming scared or taken out of hell with all her lyrics.
I remember and still remember that it is one of my few songs in English that I sing at the top of my lungs and although I don't know if I am invoking the devil himself, I enjoy it very much because I love the video and its interpretation. Creo que con toda su trayectoria no le hacía falta eso, pero a nosotros ¡como nos hacía falta esa mezcla! entre el rock, con una película de adolescentes, ligada con otros géneros, actores y actrices reconocidos, esa canción lo tiene todo. Si yo sé que es una versión, pero que Marilyn la interpretara, nos hizo romper esa barrera o cerco que teníamos con su música y su estilo y nos permitió abrirnos a escuchar un poco mas sin parecer asustados o sacado del mismo infierno todas sus letras.
Recuerdo y todavía mantengo, que es una de mis pocas canciones en inglés que canto a todo pulmón y aunque no sé si estoy invocando al mismísimo demonio, la difruto mucho porque me encanta el video y su interpretación. El mensaje se puede interpretar de muchas maneras pero como éra adolescente en esa época, me gustó la fiesta: desde que aparecia el carro con los amortiguadores se sabía que iba a ser un desorden en todos los sentidos; luego la chica callada que se transoforma, la manera como se apoderan de la música, el baile de las conejitas en un cuarto rosa con alguien de negro, todo fue irreal y eso le dio muy buena aceptación en la crítica y la película no fue tan mala que digamos😎.
