¡Guau! ¿Cuál es mi lugar favorito en la isla? ¡TODOSSSS! Fin de la publicación 🤣. Lo que pasa es que, para mí, es muy difícil decidir porque mi historia con la isla tiene más de 20 años (aún era menor de edad) y por mucho tiempo ha sido mi lugar de acogida, aventuras y desventuras ¡Toda una novela!
Ciertamente, voy a la isla desde que estaba en secundaria porque mi padre tenía resort allá; sí, en la época de bonanza. Luego, me mudo a Cumaná y conocí amigos margariteños, con los que podía llegar a su casa y salir en la isla. Posteriormente, mi padre se muda a la isla, así que el ir y venir para mí, era algo común. Lamentablemente, tengo casi 10 años que no piso la isla, así que espero que ¡Este sea el año de reencontrarme con mi amor! ¡MANIFESTANDO! 🌟.

The thing is, it's very difficult for me to decide because my history with the island goes back more than 20 years (I was still a minor) and for a long time it has been my place of refuge, adventures, and misadventures. It's like a novel! I've been going to the island since I was in high school because my father had a resort there; yes, back in the good old days. Then I moved to Cumaná and met friends from Margarita, with whom I could go to their house and go out on the island. Later, my father moved to the island, so coming and going was common for me. Unfortunately, I haven't set foot on the island in almost 10 years, so I hope this will be the year I reconnect with my love! MANIFESTING! 🌟.
Se me hizo superdifícil elegir un solo lugar; he visitado desde los sitios icónicos como El Valle, Porlamar, el mercado, el museo marino, las playas, la vida nocturna, los caseríos, los diversos pueblos de familias, Coche ¡Es lo máximo! Entonces fue como hacer un estudio de no solo el lugar que me gusta, sino decirle a usted que me lee: "_cuando vayas a la isla, sí o sí, tienes que visitar este lugar, porque, sino, no fuiste a la isla"._ Y, basado en este criterio, mi lugar estrella, que cumple con todos los requisitos, es:
🌞🌊PLAYA EL YAQUE 🌞🌊
Ubicado estratégicamente para que solo lleguen las personas que verdaderamente quieren pasar un día distinto y diferente, y lleven dinerito para gastar 🤣.
¿Cómo se llega?
De bajarse del ferry, tomen la vía principal y en el cruce del aeropuerto, doblan a la derecha y de allí, la vía sola los lleva 😎. Si es del aeropuerto, dígale al taxi "a mí me lleva al Yaque" y ellos le llevarán. Menos mal que en la isla, todo se conoce y las personas saben a donde van los turistas.
¿Qué me gusta del Yaque?
Sencillo, la buena vida 🌟. Es uno de los destinos fijos en Semana Santa y para los que viven allá, los fines de semana se resuelven en estos espacios.
Para tener una idea, en mis tiempos, ir al Yaque era aproximadamente a las 4:00 p. m. cuando ya venían bajando las familias, y los locales comenzaban con los sonidos, bebidas, y ya, toda la diversión. Regresar del Yaque, es aproximadamente a la media noche, cuando el cuerpo ya no da más o para ir a las discotecas, que ese es otro asunto ¡ESPECTACULAR DE LA ISLA!
It was super difficult for me to choose just one place; I've visited iconic sites such as El Valle, Porlamar, the market, the marine museum, the beaches, the nightlife, the hamlets, the various family villages, Coche... It's the best! So it was like doing a study of not only the place I like, but also telling you, my reader: “When you go to the island, you absolutely have to visit this place, because otherwise, you haven't been to the island.” My favorite place, which has everything, is: YAQUE BEACH 🌞🌊 Strategically located so that only people who really want to spend a different kind of day there come, and bring money to spend 🤣.
How do you get there? When you get off the ferry, take the main road and at the airport intersection, turn right and from there, the road will take you there 😎. If you're coming from the airport, tell the taxi driver, “Take me to Yaque,” and they'll take you there. Luckily, on the island, everyone knows each other, and people know where the tourists go.
What do I like about Yaque? Simple, the good life 🌟. It's one of the regular destinations during Holy Week, and for those who live there, weekends are spent in these places. To give you an idea, in my day, going to El Yaque was around 4:00 p.m. when families were already coming down, and the locals were starting with the music, drinks, and all the fun. Returning from El Yaque is around midnight, when your body can't take it anymore, or to go to the nightclubs, which is another matter entirely. SPECTACULAR ON THE ISLAND!
En una oportunidad fue con unas amigas para la playa temprano y me sorprendió algo que no había visto en otro lado: nos ofrecían la cava, con el hielo, las cervezas y un refresco; además, el toldo gratis y todo fue demasiado barato. Así que, pasar el día allí no era costoso, cuando no se llevaban los implementos propios de la playa ¿Cómo negarse a ir al Yaque?
Otra cosa es la diversidad de personas. Créanme, que si buscan el amor, aventuras, nuevos amigos, o simplemente ver, este es el sitio 😎. En una ocasión, nos encontramos un pelotero (ya fallecido) con toda su familia y nos hicimos amigos "por un día", pero la pasamos genial. El Yaque da para todo 😊.
Actualmente, he visto que las personas reciben el Año Nuevo allí, vestidos de blanco, con globos del deseo, se ven los fuegos artificiales y olvidados de esas tradiciones donde el gasto y el exceso, lo que nos dejan es el bolsillo roto. Acá simplemente llevas tus sillas, tu cava y tu buena vibra y lo demás _fluye como las olas del mar_.
Once, I went to the beach early with some friends and was surprised by something I hadn't seen anywhere else: they offered us a cooler with ice, beers, and a soft drink, plus a free umbrella, and everything was so cheap. So, spending the day there wasn't expensive, especially when you didn't have to bring your own beach gear. How could you refuse to go to Yaque? Another thing is the diversity of people. Believe me, if you're looking for love, adventure, new friends, or just to see, this is the place. On one occasion, we met a baseball player (now deceased) with his whole family and became friends “for a day,” but we had a great time. El Yaque has something for everyone. Nowadays, I've seen people celebrating New Year's Eve there, dressed in white, with wish balloons, watching the fireworks and forgetting about those traditions where spending and excess leave us with empty pockets. Here, you just bring your chairs, your champagne, and your good vibes, and the rest flows like the waves of the sea.
Yo soy amante de la playa, así que este lugar es el propio para un día de sol y arena, una noche de copas, un fin de semana distinto o vivir una fecha especial.
Además, la seguridad y la forma como todos se cuidan, le dan ese extra que buscamos, para no andar pendiente de cuidar nuestras cosas y dejamos de disfrutar lo verdadero.
Lo único negativo como les dije es que, si no tienes carro para llegar allí, creo que la travesía se hace algo tediosa, no me ha tocado pero analizando el asunto, mejor planificarse bien con el vehículo.
I am a beach lover, so this place is perfect for a day of sun and sand, a night out drinking, a different kind of weekend, or celebrating a special occasion. In addition, the security and the way everyone looks out for each other give it that extra something we are looking for, so we don't have to worry about keeping an eye on our belongings and can just enjoy ourselves. The only downside, as I said, is that if you don't have a car to get there, I think the journey can be a bit tedious. I haven't had to do it myself, but thinking about it, it's better to plan ahead and have a vehicle.
¿Qué me falta en el Yaque?
Quedarme un fin de semana en sus posadas, levantarme a comer en sus restaurantes y caminar por todo lo bonito que tienen, olvidándome de todo lo demás ¡MANIFESTANDO! 🌟.
What am I missing in Yaque? Staying a weekend in its inns, waking up to eat in its restaurants, and walking around all the beautiful things it has to offer, forgetting about everything else. MANIFESTING! 🌟.
