Con todo el cariño del mundo, quiero enviar un saludo muy especial a los amigos de esta hermosa comunidad @hivemargarita y felicitarlos de corazón por esta iniciativa que celebra lo mejor de nuestra isla. Qué alegría ver cómo se resalta la belleza y la historia de Margarita, esa tierra que amamos tanto por su gente, como por sus paisajes inolvidables.

En la isla de Margarita hay muchos lugares hermosos, los cuales me encantan, como las playas, el paseo en bote a Cara Care, el Cerro el Copey, el Pueblo de Pampatar y la Asunción, entre otras bellezas. Pero hay uno en especial que me encanta en su totalidad y es el Fortín de La Galera. Para mí, no hay otro sitio que combine historia, belleza natural y emoción como este. Es mi lugar favorito, mi refugio y hoy quiero compartirlo con ustedes.
>On Margarita Island there are many beautiful places, which I love, such as the beaches, the boat ride to Cara Care, Cerro el Copey, the town of Pampatar and La Asuncion, among other beauties. But there is one in particular that I love in its entirety and that is the Fortín de La Galera. For me, there is no other place that combines history, natural beauty and emotion as this one. It is my favorite place, my refuge and today I want to share it with you.
Ubicado en Juan Griego, este antiguo fortín fue construido en 1811 para proteger la bahía de posibles ataques. Pero más allá de su historia heroica, hoy es un mirador privilegiado donde el atardecer se convierte en un espectáculo inolvidable. Desde lo alto, se puede ver la Laguna de los Mártires, la Bahía de La Galera y el mar extendiéndose como un suspiro. Y cuando el sol comienza a descender, todo se transforma.
>Located in Juan Griego, this old fort was built in 1811 to protect the bay from possible attacks. But beyond its heroic history, today it is a privileged viewpoint where the sunset becomes an unforgettable spectacle. Cada vez que puedo, voy. No importa si es una visita rápida o una tarde completa, lo que me llama es el atardecer. Ver cómo el sol se despide desde lo alto del fortín me llena de una paz que no encuentro en ningún otro lugar. Es como si el cielo me hablara, como si el día me regalara un último suspiro de belleza antes de dormir.
>Whenever I can, I go. It doesn't matter if it's a quick visit or a full afternoon, what calls me is the sunset. Watching the sun say goodbye from the top of the fort fills me with a peace I can't find anywhere else. It's as if the sky is talking to me, as if the day is giving me one last breath of beauty before I go to sleep.
La última vez que lo visite fue en abril de este año, en una salida con mis hijos, mi esposo y mi cuñada, ya que estaba de visita en la isla, pero al final nos quedamos mis hijos y yo, esperando el atardecer. Rodeados de personas que también querían ver ese momento mágico, sentimos una conexión profunda con el lugar. El cielo se pintó de naranja, rosa y violeta, fue realmente un espectáculo.
>The last time I visited it was in April of this year, on an outing with my children, my husband and my sister-in-law, as I was visiting the island, but in the end my children and I stayed, waiting for the sunset. Surrounded by people who also wanted to see that magical moment, we felt a deep connection with the place. The sky was painted orange, pink and violet, it was truly a spectacle.
Esa última visita fue muy especial. No solo por la belleza del paisaje, sino por lo que significó compartirlo con mis hijos. El Fortín de La Galera no es solo un sitio turístico es un espacio para reconectar con lo esencial, para sentir la grandeza de la naturaleza y la profundidad de nuestras raíces.
