         
Hola amigo de @hivemargarita ¿Cómo están? ¿Cómo pasaron su semana? espero que su fin de semana esté lleno de muchas Bendiciones y metas cumplidas, por este lado estamos bien gracias a Dios.
Les voy a contar algo que me sale del corazón, si hay un lugar que es maravilloso en Margarita, ese es "La Asunción". Es la capital del estado Nueva Esparta, sí, pero más allá de eso, es un pueblito lleno de historia, de vida, de recuerdos y de belleza colonial que no se puede ignorar.
Caminar por sus calles es como viajar en el tiempo. Hay casas antiguas, que todavía están de pie. Las carreteras son de piedra y cemento y eso le da un encanto único. Uno siente que está en un lugar que respira tradición.
En La Asunción se concentra todo lo importante del estado está la Gobernación, la Alcaldía, el Consejo Legislativo, la Notaría, varios Registros, la Casa de la Cultura, El Centro de Artes Omar Carreño, el Museo Nueva Cádiz, la Casa del Libertador, la residencia de los Gobernadores, la Biblioteca Pública, es como el corazón administrativo y cultural de Nueva Esparta. Y no solo eso, también hay bancos, ópticas, ventas de comida, dulces típicos, tiendas de todo tipo. Es un sitio que, aunque pequeño, está siempre activo.
La Asunción es sede de la Catedral Nuestra Señora de La Asunción, una especie de joya arquitectónica y del imponente Castillo de Santa Rosa, testigo de Batallas y refugio de Heroínas como Luisa Cáceres de Arismendi.
Y lo más lindo es que últimamente le han dado un cariñito especial. El casco histórico está más bonito que nunca, han pintado murales coloridos que cuentan historias de nuestra tierra y han colocado bombillos decorativos que iluminan las noches con un aire festivo y acogedor. Es como si La Asunción tuviera una nueva energía, sin perder su esencia colonial.
Y les confieso algo muy personal hace 22 años tuve mi primer empleo allí. Todos los días me levantaba con emoción para ir a trabajar en una casa colonial preciosa, justo en el casco histórico. Era parte de una Asociación Civil que manejaba los hogares y multihogares del Estado Nueva Esparta y yo era la administradora. Qué orgullo me daba estar allí. Me encantaba ese trabajo y más aún el lugar. Cada rincón de La Asunción me hacía sentir que estaba en un sitio especial.
Es un lugar que no envejece, que sigue siendo bonito y lleno de gente amable. Si alguna vez tienen la oportunidad de ir, háganlo con calma, recorran sus calles, siéntense en sus plazas, prueben sus dulces y déjense enamorar como me enamoró a mí. En estos momentos

La Asunción is home to everything important in the state: the Governor's Office, the Mayor's Office, the Legislative Council, the Notary Public, various registries, the House of Culture, the Omar Carreño Arts Center, the Nueva Cádiz Museum, the House of the Liberator, the Governors' residence, and the Public Library. It is like the administrative and cultural heart of Nueva Esparta. And not only that, there are also banks, opticians, food vendors, traditional sweets, and shops of all kinds. It is a place that, although small, is always bustling.
La Asunción is home to the Cathedral of Our Lady of La Asunción, a kind of architectural gem, and the imposing Castle of Santa Rosa, witness to battles and refuge for heroines such as Luisa Cáceres de Arismendi.
And the best part is that lately they have given it some special TLC. The historic district is more beautiful than ever, with colorful murals painted to tell stories of our land and decorative lights that illuminate the nights with a festive and welcoming atmosphere. It's as if La Asunción has a new energy, without losing its colonial essence.
And I'll confess something very personal: 22 years ago, I had my first job there. Every day I woke up excited to go to work in a beautiful colonial house, right in the historic center. I was part of a civil association that managed the homes and multi-family homes of the state of Nueva Esparta, and I was the administrator. I was so proud to be there. I loved that job and even more so the place. Every corner of La Asunción made me feel like I was in a special place.
