Visitando el Faro Punta Ballena en la Isla de Margarita, toda una experiencia[ESP-ENG]

Hola amigo de @hivemargarita ¿Cómo están? les envío muchos saludos desde este rincón de esta hermosa Isla. Por este lado estamos bien gracias a Dios. Hace pocos días viví una experiencia que tenía tiempo esperando y era visitar el Faro Punta Ballena, en Pampatar aquí en la Isla de Margarita. Siempre había querido ir, especialmente para ver el atardecer desde ese punto tan especial. Sin embargo, les cuento que me daba un poco de miedo manejar hasta allá. La carretera que lleva al faro es algo complicada, bastante angosta, con muchas curvas y subidas y como la camioneta de mi esposo es sincrónica, no me gustaba la idea de subir sola. Por eso, aproveché una visita reciente a la playa de pampatar con mi familia y fuimos hasta ese lugar. No pude ir a ver el atardecer, pero al menos tuve la satisfacción de subir y tomar algunas fotos del lugar.    El faro no es solo una torre que lanza luz al mar. Es un símbolo de orientación, para los navegantes, al llegar, nos recibió una persona encargada de cuidar el sitio. Muy amable, nos contó un poco sobre su historia. Fue construido en 2007 por la Armada venezolana con el objetivo de mejorar la señalización marítima y al mismo tiempo, ofrecer un espacio turístico.    Desde el punto de vista técnico, el faro cumple una función esencial y es de guía a los barcos que navegan cerca de la costa, especialmente durante la noche. Su lámpara es tan fuerte que alcanza hasta 28 millas náuticas, lo que lo convierte en un punto de referencia muy importante para la seguridad marítima.    Pero lo que realmente me impresionó fue su belleza y la paz que transmite. El faro está diseñado como un mirador natural. Tiene 143 escalones en espiral que llevan hasta la parte más alta. Desde allí, la vista es simplemente espectacular. Se puede ver el Mar Caribe en todo su esplendor, las salinas de Pampatar y si el día está despejado, hasta Los Frailes. Tiene varios balcones desde donde a mi parecer puedes ir descansando cuando vas subiendo y al mismo tiempo tomando muchas fotos. Es un lugar que te regala una experiencia inolvidable y ofrecerte un momento de conexión maravillosa.    Además, el faro cuenta con una pequeña tienda de recuerdos y un museo que muestra parte de la historia marítima de la isla. Me pareció un buen detalle , porque permite que los visitantes se lleven algo más que fotos y puedan conocer la historia de su paso por ese rincón especial.    Así que si tienes la oportunidad de ir, no lo dudes. Es un lugar que vale la pena conocer, no solo por su función como guía para los navegantes, sino por lo que representa para quienes buscan descubrir la importancia marinera de Margarita. A few days ago I lived an experience that I had been waiting for a long time and that was to visit the Punta Ballena Lighthouse, in Pampatar here in Margarita Island. I had always wanted to go there, especially to see the sunset from that special spot. However, I was a little afraid to drive there. The road that leads to the lighthouse is a bit complicated, quite narrow, with many curves and climbs, and since my husband's truck is synchronous, I didn't like the idea of going up there alone. So, I took advantage of a recent visit to pampatar beach with my family and we went there. I didn't get to see the sunset, but at least I had the satisfaction of going up and taking some pictures of the place.    The lighthouse is not just a tower that throws light into the sea. It is a symbol of orientation for navigators. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a person in charge of taking care of the site. Very kindly, she told us a little about its history. It was built in 2007 by the Venezuelan Navy in order to improve maritime signaling and at the same time, offer a tourist space.    From a technical point of view, the lighthouse fulfills an essential function and that is to guide ships sailing close to the coast, especially at night. Its lamp is so strong that it reaches up to 28 nautical miles, which makes it a very important reference point for maritime safety.    But what really impressed me was its beauty and the peace it conveys. The lighthouse is designed as a natural lookout. It has 143 spiral steps leading to the highest part. From there, the view is simply spectacular. You can see the Caribbean Sea in all its splendor, the salt flats of Pampatar and if the day is clear, even Los Frailes. It has several balconies from where, in my opinion, you can rest as you go up and at the same time take lots of pictures. It is a place that gives you an unforgettable experience and offers you a wonderful moment of connection.    In addition, the lighthouse has a small souvenir store and a museum that shows part of the maritime history of the island. I thought it was a nice touch, because it allows visitors to take away more than just photos and learn about the history of their passage through this special place.    So if you have the opportunity to go, do not hesitate. It is a place worth knowing, not only for its function as a guide for sailors, but for what it represents for those who seek to discover the maritime importance of Margarita. Thank you friends.
