Watching an Eurasian hoopoe sitting on a branch

When I visited Burgenland the most eastern province of Austria some years ago I was able to take some pictures of the hoopoe that was sitting on a branch and also started singing up there. I think the hoopoe is a very funny bird, but some people don't like it because it can be very stinky and smell very bad. But When you hear it singing you know why I find it funny. I find it even more funny because my stepfather thought some kind of alarm in the kitchen went of since it has a very similar tone to the dishwasher when it is finished. He went up several times a day to check the dishwasher when in reality the bird was singing.
