Proclaim!
I decided to invite my girlfriend to eat at a rather luxurious restaurant. We had never had the opportunity to share a meal in a place like this, given that a dish here is not within everyone's budget. However, I made a tremendous effort to be able to enjoy this experience. I wanted to make this night very special. It's not every day that you proclaim your love with a ring to the woman of your dreams. However, getting to this place, to this dinner, was not easy. I had to work overtime and, without a doubt, I distanced myself quite a bit from everything and everyone, including my future wife. We both dressed up in our best clothes. She didn't know where we were going, but she did listen to me when I told her we were going to a very special place. So, even though it took a few hours to find the perfect outfit, straighten her hair, choose her earrings, and do her hair... We made it, arrived on time, and began to enjoy a very pleasant dinner. We could eat whatever we wanted, and I had already checked the prices, so I was ready for anything. At the end of the evening, we were served a glass of champagne with a small box and a ring inside. We were about to start dessert. I felt that dinner was going very well. But for her, it seemed that this was not the case. She moved her chair closer to mine and began to whisper that the whole evening had been perfect, but that all these months of distance and this silent dinner made her believe that love no longer existed between us, so it would be best to finish our desserts and go our separate ways. I knew that restaurant was expensive, and even though she didn't have much money, she wanted to help me with the bill and offered to pay her share in the future if necessary. I believed her, because she was that noble. Suddenly, everything went dark. And my eyes opened on the sofa in our apartment. I remembered that I had come home late that day and sat down to rest and talk to her for a moment, and... did I fall asleep? She was curled up next to me. I lifted her up in my arms, and she liked it—I know because she smiled—and I carried her to bed and lay down next to her and apologized for so many moments of absence. I hugged her and fell asleep next to her. The next night, I was going to declare my love for her, but... I think I'll wait a little longer. ---
