A new school year has begun, early mornings have returned to my life, we have started fourth grade, and there are new challenges at music school. It has only been two days of classes, and I already feel exhausted from the first period. I really need a good vacation. However, it's not a luxury I can afford, at least not for the moment. These first two days have been a bit hectic on the music front, as I've been adjusting class schedules and determining which sections and teachers Mathias will have this year. Although I was feeling a little discouraged yesterday, my spirits have lifted today. Things have fallen into place a bit.
This school year, we are saying goodbye to guided homework, so I will have to deal with activities for the home, which is not something I like very much, as I have had bad experiences with homeschooling. However, Mathias has matured a lot, and by the end of last school year, he was already doing his homework on his own. He would call me when he didn't understand a particular point or when he needed help with a craft project, which gives me some peace of mind because, truthfully, free time is not something that abounds in my schedule.
Every start of the school year brings with it a little uncertainty, as we don't know what the new teacher, the new professors, or even the classmates will be like. I hope that fourth grade brings Mathias many pleasant experiences. As I said, new challenges and new learning opportunities are coming, and I am sure that we will achieve our goals.

______________________________ Un nuevo año escolar ha comenzado, nuevamente los madrugonazos llegaron a mi vida, iniciamos el cuarto grado de primaria, y nuevos retos en la escuela de música, apenas van dos días de clases y ya siento el agotamiento del primer lapso cumplido, realmente necesito unas buenas vacaciones, sin embargo, no es un lujo que pueda darme, no al menos por el momento, estos dos primeros días han sido un poco movidos por la parte musical, ajustar horarios de clases, ver en que secciones y con qué profesores quedaría Mathias este año, y aunque el día de ayer me encontraba un poco desanimada, ya hoy los ánimos han subido y las cosas se han alineado un poco.
Este año escolar le decimos adiós a las tareas dirigidas, por lo que, me tocara, lidiar con las actividades para el hogar, no es algo que me agrade mucho, pues tengo malas experiencias de la época de la escuela en casa, sin embargo, Mathias ha ido madurando mucho, y para cuando estaba finalizando el año escolar pasado, ya él hacia sus tareas solo, me llamaba, cuando no entendía algún punto en particular, o cuando requería ayuda con alguna manualidad, lo que me da un poco de tranquilidad, pues, la verdad, el tiempo libre no es algo que abunde en mi agenda.
Cada inicio de año escolar, trae consigo un poco de incertidumbre, pues no sabemos cómo será la nueva maestra, los nuevos profesores, e incluso los compañeros de clases, yo espero que cuarto grado le deje muchas experiencias agradables a Mathias, se vienen, como ya lo dije, nuevos retos, y nuevos aprendizajes, y estoy segura de que lograremos cumplir los objetivos.
