This week was really a busy one at the supermarket. We got a lot of new friends to join and try out spending in HBD - up to 13 users. You can see them below:

These friends did their first HBD transactions and it was nice learning about a new form of money as they are not into crypto before now. Spending HBD is the first thing they tried and it was a cool experience for them.
We had a higher transaction volume at the end of the week. The new customers together with former ones visited our business this week and spent a lot of HBD. As you can see below, our numbers for July 2025 is already up. Overall, we have a new all-time high. I already informed the new friends that there will be a mentorship class on Monday to kick-off learning content and engagement aspect of Hive once they have mastered how to pay with HBD and claim discounts.
A simple approach works
When we get these newbies, we try to make it simple getting on board. Generally crypto seems to be a complex stuff which turns many people away. But then, how we introduce them to Hive matters. For the new friends above, the initial focus is to show them how to scan a generated code to pay with HBD. Then they learn how to access distriator and claim their discounts. Not a few of them require more than 1 or 2 transactions to get that perfectly into their head. And each shopping trip, we are careful not to take a lot of their time to.make a good first impression.
So starting this Monday (tomorrow), we will resume a workshop for them to show them other aspects of Hive as a content publishing platform. This is how they will be able to share original work with friends on Hive and create connections. Of course, many of them are yet to set up their profile too. So these are necessary things to do to put them on the right track on Hive.
The Journey of a Hivean courses would be especially helpful as each new friend would learn and practice what they learned one step at a time. So watch out for their content after the workshop tomorrow.
Making sure there is enough to buy
One thing that brings people to Hive through this project is shopping. They learn about an opportunity to pay less for more by paying with HBD. Now we have to be sure that they always have something to buy and in sufficient quantities. To that end, we received new inventory from suppliers every two days. This way, we are able to keep up with customer demands.
This week we bought a lot of inventory including the always popular Indomie noodles. Many cartons of different brands of noodles was requested and supplied. We also sell satchet drinks which is another top seller. Other food items that came in includes Macaroni, garri, beverages, tomatoes and the rest. I will share some of the images above with you.
July 2025 Hive meetup soonest
I have already started plans for our next Hive meetup. We do it every month and this month of July won't be missed. It's going to be a big opportunity for new friends to meet older ones and network. Aba is the home of a strong Hive network and we are expecting that many of our friends around would make it to the event. We also hope to use this opportunity to thank and reward our regular customers.
We appreciate the efforts of everyone that helps our business to grow. It's amazing what we can achieve in such a short time. We look forward to a brand new week of activity and hope the beat the numbers we have achieved earlier. Lets grow stronger and better - together!!!!!
