After a much needed hiatus to get my house in order, I AM BACK!
This week, I decided to do a song that many of you probably know thanks to Lauryn Hill making it famous many years ago called "Killing Me Softly". It was actually composed originally by Charles Fox with lyrics by Norman Gimbel in collaboration with Lori Lieberman in the early 70's. I hope you enjoy!
Also, unrelated, if you got one of those cards from me at Hive Fest, I know it's taken some time, but we believe we have found the issue with the free claim. I am hoping to have it resolved this week and I will make an announcement once it is functioning.
Lyrics: Strumming my pain with his fingers Singing my life with his words Killing me softly with his song Killing me softly with his song Telling my whole life with his words Killing me softly with his song
I heard he sang a good song I heard he had a style And so I came to see him And listen for a while And there he was This young boy, stranger to my eyes
(Chorus)
I felt all flushed with fever Embarrassed by the crowd I felt he found my letters Then read each one out loud I prayed that he would finish But he just kept right on
(Chorus x2)
