I am grateful for all the support you have given to my own work and that of my colleagues and friends who are part of this great community. This is an explicit post talking about indecision, but I think the correct word would be nonconformity.
Indecisión.
I find it difficult to be satisfied with the result of some of my drawings, and when I start adding elements, that's where the distortion begins in what I want to express and what I'm actually capturing. I'll share the first image with you. In other words, this image is the beginning of this painting.
I didn't like the result with that marker outline at all, so I added a little cold paint to change its texture and, above all, its color.
Added some shadows and reflections to these colors, but I still didn't like the result at all, and I still don't like it.
So I decided to add a little more spray paint. The spray paint creates a gradient effect that I really like, but I'm still not satisfied with the result.
And once again, I added a little more color, a little marker, and paint. This work is not yet dry and is not finished, but so far, this is how it's going.
This hasn't only happened with this painting; it continues to happen to me in many daily situations, on many occasions when I do things or take action, not only in drawing, but also in sports and singing rap music, which I love so much. It's extreme nonconformity, but it also drives me and encourages me, inspiring me to always want to do something much better.
The materials used are acrylic spray paint. I also used water-based paint, which we normally use to paint the walls of our home. The rest were just mixtures of paints and a little crayon color to finish highlighting some details with acrylic marker. The photographs were taken by me with a Redmi 9a cell phone. I edited the first image, "Courage," in an app called EPIK.
