I’ll get bluetooth working again eventually

So the bluetooth in my car hasn’t been working for a while, meaning I can’t connect my phone.

No Spotify, no podcasts, no playlists.

RIP me...

...or so you would think!

But this forced me to dig into the glovebox and pull out some of my old CDs that I haven’t touched in years.

It's made me remember that there’s just something romantic about listening to physical media.

Sliding one in feels like going back in time.

Listening to whole albums in order, no shuffling, no skipping tracks, just albums from start to finish in the way the artist intended them to be played.

I digress, but burning CDs used to be an art.

Sitting at the computer, watching the progress bar crawl across.

Hoping the disc didn’t fail at 98% haha.

Writing the band name on it with a dodgy permanent marker, trying to use the right side of the pen so it didn’t leave streaks.

Ah, good times.

Listening to music was much more deliberate pre-streaming.

You learned the quiet songs, the album tracks.

A band’s whole album lived with you, not just a single from everyone.

I’ll get bluetooth working again eventually, but for now I’m just going with the flow and enjoying the physical media throwback.

Best of probabilities to you.

Dane.
