RIP my old Ledger Nano S.
Its screen is so dim that it's become completely unreadable and thus useless.
A common problem for the Nano S by the looks of it on Reddit… not a great endorsement for the brand.
Ah well, it’s served me well since my OG crypto days and with the prospect of moving my LEO to Arbitrum eventually on the cards, I was going to need a new one.
So I pulled the trigger on a purple Ledger Nano S Plus.
Mmm giggity.
The price of familiarity
Having essentially been screwed over by my old ledger, I could have gone with a different brand.
And I nearly did.
But in the end I went with Ledger again pretty much for no other reason than because it’s what I know.
If we’re being honest, it's what everyone knows.
Their process is simple and I’m comfortable with it.
Sure I had questions like would a Trezor last longer?
Was my old Ledger dying a sign that I should have changed horses?
I researched and in the end, it wasn’t worth the hassle.
I’ll let you know my full review when I open it and get it all working.
Do you have a hardware wallet?
Which is your go to brand and model?
Let me know in the comments below.
Best of probabilities to you.
Dane.
