Yep, this is my kind of Sunday.
Those momentum swings
What I love about tennis, especially in the best of 5 Grand Slam tennis, is the momentum.
It’s so good.
One minute, a player is on fire. Hitting winners. Dominating.
The next, it’s all gone.
Unforced errors pile up. The serve deserts them. Their opponent, who looked dead and buried, suddenly finds another gear.
It swings.
Hard.
It all changes so fast.
No other sport has that raw, brutal swing of momentum.
Not like tennis.
It’s a mental game
Tennis is a pure mental battle.
You see players completely unravel. The pressure gets to them.
They start arguing with themselves. Or their box.
It’s all out there on them.
There’s no hiding on a tennis court.
That’s why I love it.
It’s the human element.
The raw emotion. It's all on display.
