When the blue sky is not so blue and the bright mediterranean sun not so bright, what can a photographer do?
Either turn into black and white, as I did in my previous post or take a macro lens and move closer, as I am doing today.
And flowers are an ideal subject to shoot from up-close, aren't they?
I had noticed, the other day, that there were some very impressive flowers blooming in the park and I went straight for them, hoping for a few cool shots.
They didn't disappoint me :)
The white roses looked charming too. Nothing like they usually do. The light was more like a winter day or like been in a northern country, very different from what you would expect from a spring day in Greece.
Nevertheless lovely!
But the pictures that I like the most, came from small or even tiny flowers, of plants that I don't even know their name. Their elegant beauty through the macro lens gave a dreamy result that I love so much!
White, red or purple, they are all amazing, don't you agree?
Looking up wasn't bad either. There are a lot of trees in the park also blooming, as well as big bushes and bougainvilleas that add colour and charm to our walks. Despite the weird weather, beauty is all over!
The post would have been incomplete without a more realistic shot, showing the park as it is, without the deceitful effect of the macro lens :)
I hope you enjoyed the pictures as much as I enjoyed talking them!
The camera that I used is a Canon EOS 6D mark II with an EF 100mm f2.8L macro lens attached. I edited the photographs in Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Classic .
All the pictures and the words are mine.
