Abstract

Graphene is an open-source toolkit for building distributed ledger solutions. The talk will explore core elements within the framework including:

  • A novel dynamic consensus algorithm
  • Hierarchical named accounts
  • Value transfers
  • Proxy voting

The technical underpinnings of Graphene will be presented in an approachable way using Bitcoin as a comparison. An audience-directed mock blockchain will be configured to demonstrate these concepts. A base-level of knowledge in Bitcoin is recommend to appreciate the comparisons.
