Unfortunately, yesterday I had to cut short my blog due to internet issues. Today it seems to be working better, off and on again but right now things are good.
Last summer, I visited a new city and new little towns in southern Ontario which brought great photography adventures and new experiences with my camera. The first thing I dove into, as shown in my last post, were the dead fish washed up on shore from Lake Erie. It's not something I get to see where I live, and even though there are plenty of lakes here, why don't we see any?
The next adventure we took was in a small town filled with rich houses to see the great Lake Erie during sunset. I would have loved to take pictures of these massive houses but as much as I enjoy taking pictures of weird things, I'm just not that weird.
We took a little walking trail along side of the water and waited for the sun to set while watching boats drive by and taking in the scenery. Honestly a beautiful place to see and I can't wait to go there again. We, in which I mean my boyfriend and I, do plan on going this fall and I do really want to capture more scenery with all the coloured leaves.
Also while waiting, I took the chance and time to adjust my camera settings without evening knowing what I was doing, capturing some practice shots and even took a quick one of this handsome man. Couldn't resist. You can see in the picture that it's not completely straight. It was difficult with being on a floating dock, aside from that, I do not mind showing my flaws and errors. Everything is a work in progress and a learning experience. It wouldn't be natural to have everything perfect.
As the sun was setting, the colours in the sky were just stunning! Romantic the occasion may have been, we did have our quick intimate moments and then hurried to the cameras. Seriously, I can't wait to go back!
The trees out there were beautiful, everything just left me in awe. With the warm air on my skin, it was hard to resist the want to dive in, but this lake is seriously deep.
That is all the pictures I took out this far off my camera from that day. All these pictures were taken with my Canon Rebel SL3 using both 18-55mm lense and a 75-300mm lense.
Our trip to Southern Ontario is what really started my photography adventure and the itch to learn more. Keep a lookout for more photography adventures in the near future!
