Hello guys, how are y'all doing?
When I saw this prompt, I had to go read the submissions of others because I was really eager to hear the various hacks and techniques people employ to preserve the batteries of their devices, my interest was mainly in mobile phones.
>Battery & Survival Hacks
Ever since I began using a mobile phone, I haven't been so lucky with batteries. The phones I had always found a way to die out easily due to low battery. There was this phone I had, and I was always having a low battery, I would charge it and not long after, the battery would just drain out. One particular day I was lamenting to my sister about how my battery doesn't last and then she concluded that the battery capacity was too small, hence the reason it was always dying out. Concerning this reason she stated, I saw some sense in it, but the second statement she made through me off balance and got me reeling with laughter, although I don't know if it's true.
So on the particular day I got the said phone, we didn't really have power to enable me to charge the phone until it was full before I began using it, so I went straight ahead to use it. Can you believe that my sister also pointed this out as one of the reasons the battery wasn't lasting, because the instruction usually says charge till full before use.
I'm asking, does the fact that someone doesn't charge his or her phone to full initially, affect the battery health of the phone? Please someone who knows better should answer me, thank you.
Here are some hacks that I've learned to use to preserve my battery and its health;

Adjusting the brightness of my phone by using the Adaptive brightness or Auto-brightness feature. This feature works by sensing the ambient light around you and adjusting the brightness of your phone to suit it. The screen's brightness is optimized to ensure that your viewing is as comfortable as possible while also minimizing your power consumption.
Another way one could potentially preserve his or her battery life is by ensuring that background apps are turned off. Most times when we turn apps on to check stuff, we just leave it open, and it remains open for a long time sapping off our battery. So trying to ensure that those apps are turned off can be very helpful, and the funny thing is that you just need to swipe on them to turn them off.

Do you know you can charge your phone incorrectly? The act of plugging our phone into a power source all through the night can be detrimental to the health of your battery. Overcharging is what happens when we charge for long periods even when the battery is full, this was one act that I was very guilty of, and I believe most of us still do it, especially with the situation of our light over here.
Thankfully, the recent phone I got came with a smart charger that can tell when the phone is full and automatically stop charging, I think everyone should invest in a smart charge to help preserve their battery life.
So yeah, these are some practices I follow through with to help my battery health. Are there some more hacks that you've discovered? Kindly share with us, someone might learn something new that will save his or her battery.
