One Piece 1144 "The Worst Nightmare. The Five Elders Come Together" (Review)

 Finally one of the most anticipated moments of the Eggghead arc, full of tension, terror and despair has been adapted in the One Piece anime and it is the arrival of The Five Elders of the Gorosei, the highest authority of the World Government have appeared on the island. Saturn was already on the island and with his monstrous strength and appearance the situation was already somewhat complicated, but with the arrival of the rest of the group, Egghead has become a living hell, not only because of the dangerous situation itself, but also because of the demonic appearances that these characters have in their beast forms. > Finalmente uno de los momentos más esperamos del arco de Eggghead, lleno de tensión, terror y desesperación ha sido adaptado en el anime de One Piece y es la llegada de los Viejos del Gorosei, la Máxima autoridad del Gobierno Mundial han aparecido en la isla. Ya Saturn se encontraba en la isla y con su monstruosa fuerza y apariencia la situación ya estaba algo complicada, pero con la llegada del resto del grupo, Egghead se ha convertido en un infierno, no solo por la situación de peligro en sí, sino también por las apariencias demoniacas que tienen estos personajes en sus formas de bestias. 
We see The Five Elders together for the first time in their demonic forms: Marcus Mars, Topman Warcury, Ethanbaron V. Nusjuro, Shepherd Ju Peter and finally, the one who was already on the island: Saturn. They appear in front of Luffy with their giant forms, very imposing and terrifying. Luffy begins to battle against them, but the situation, even for him, being in his strongest form (at least for now) the Gear 5, is quite a complicated task. This episode focuses especially on showing us part of the power of these elders and at the same time, we see part of Zoro vs Lucci's fight and its conclusion. >Vemos a los 5 ancianos por primera vez juntos en sus formas demoniacas: Marcus Mars, Topman Warcury, Ethanbaron V. Nusjuro, Shepherd Ju Peter y por último, el cual ya se encontraba en la isla: Saturn. Estos aparecen frente a Luffy con sus formas gigantes, muy imponentes y terroríficas. Luffy empieza a batallar contra ellos, pero la situación, incluso para él, estando en su forma más fuerte (al menos por ahora) el Gear 5, se le hace una tarea bastante complicada. Este episodio se centra especialmente en mostrarnos parte del poder de estos ancianos y la vez, vemos parte de la pelea de Zoro vs Lucci y su conclusión. 
But things are not all bad either, as we had been presented in a couple of episodes ago, the giants have arrived to the island to help Luffy and the others, while we see that part of the giant crew confronts the navy, also as we see Dorry and Brogy go to where Luffy is to help him in such a demonic situation. The situation of this appearance of the rest of the elders of the world government is because before the "apparently" of Vegapunk, a protocol has been activated where Vegapunk has begun to transmit a message around the world, whose message, which I already know what it says because I read it in the manga, will put the world government in a totally precarious situation and also warns that something very bad is happening and that many years ago that same event also happened and changed the world completely. >Pero las cosas tampoco del todo mal, ya como se nos habia presentado en un par de episodios atrás, los gigantes han llegado a la isla para ayudar a Luffy y a los demás, mientras vemos que parte de la tripulación gigante se enfrenta a la marina, tambien como vemos Dorry y Brogy van hacia dónde está Luffy para ayudarlo ante tan demoniaca situación. La situación de esta aparición del resto de los ancianos del gobierno mundial se debe ya que ante la “aparentemente” de Vegapunk, se ha activado un protocolo donde Vegapunk ha empezado a transmitir un mensaje alrededor del mundo, cuyo mensaje, el cual ya yo sé lo que dice debido a que lo leí en el manga, pondrá al gobierno mundial en una situación totalmente precaria y además de que advierte que algo muy malo está ocurriendo y que hace muchos años ese mismo evento también sucedió y cambió el mundo por completo. 
The animation of this episode from start to finish is insane and ranks as one of the best animated One Piece episodes of 2025 and overall, it is simply a visual marvel. Vincent Chansard, one of the best animators to ever work for One Piece, returns once again with his unique and very recognizable style, with a scene full of fluidity of movement and a simply stunning artistic style. The shots, the composition, lighting in the moment where we see how the elders of the World Government transform, is simply art and visually one of the best things of the episode. As in the fight scene of Zoro vs Lucci, which compared to the manga, this fight has more new scenes, which add a lot of visual strength to the fight, there is a lot of speed by these two characters, with scenes visually worthy of being one of the best fights of One Piece and the final attack of Zoro towards Lucci is one of the best of this swordsman, it is simply cinema each of these scenes. >La animación de este episodio de principio a fin es una locura y se posiciona como uno de los mejores episodios animados de One Piece del 2025 y en general, es simplemente una maravilla visual. Vincent Chansard, uno de los mejores animadores que ha trabajado para One Piece, vuelve una vez con su estilo único y muy reconocible, con una escena llena de fluidez de movimiento y un estilo artístico simplemente impresionante. Los planos, la composición, iluminación en el momento donde vemos como los ancianos del Gobierno Mundial se transforman, es simplemente arte y visualmente de las mejores cosas del episodio. Al igual que en la escena de la pelea de Zoro vs Lucci, la cual a comparación al manga, esta pelea cuenta con mayores escenas nuevas, que le añaden bastante fuerza visual a la pelea, hay mucha rapidez por parte de estos dos personajes, con escenas visualmente dignas de ser una de las mejores peleas de One Piece y el ataque final de Zoro hacia Lucci es uno de los mejores de este espadachín, es simplemente cine cada una de estas escenas. 
The music when we are introduced to the elders of the World Government is simply art, we had already heard this OST before when Imu ordered the destruction of an island, but this time it has certain musical changes that makes it even more terrifying and that fits perfectly with the visual hell we are witnessing. Similarly in the Zoro vs Lucci fight, we see a combination of Lucci's main theme and at the end, when Zoro is going to make his final attack, we can hear one of his main musical themes, the combination of these two melodies come to represent the clash between these two beasts in combat. >La música cuando se nos presenta a los ancianos del Gobierno Mundial es simplemente arte, esta OST ya la habíamos escuchado anteriormente cuando Imu ordenó la destrucción de una isla, pero está vez cuenta con ciertos cambios musicales que la hace aún más terrorífica y que encaja a la perfección con el infierno visual que estamos presenciando. De igual manera en la pelea de Zoro vs Lucci, vemos una combinación del tema principal de Lucci y al final, cuando Zoro va a realizar su ataque final, podremos escuchar uno de sus temas musicales principales, la combinación de estas dos melodías llegan a representar el choque entre estas dos bestias en el combate. 
Episode 1144 of One Piece anime manages to create a totally spectacular visual narrative, not only for everything that represents in the world of One Piece the events that are happening in Egghead, but at a visual level is an episode with an outstanding design, full of moments of tension and impact that very few weekly anime have been able to achieve, this episode also shows us that although perhaps still some years to go, One Piece is in its final stage and episodes like these are proof of that. >El episodio 1144 del anime de One Piece logra crear una narrativa visual totalmente espectacular, no solo por todo lo que representa en el mundo de One Piece los acontecimientos que están sucediendo en Egghead, sino que a nivel visual es un episodio con un diseño sobresaliente, llenos de momentos de tensión e impacto que muy pocos animes semanales han podido lograr, este episodio además nos muestra que aunque quizás aun quede algunos años para terminar, One Piece se encuentra en su etapa final y episodios como estos son la prueba de eso.
