The Experience was Addictive!

Good evening! I'm glad I was able to regain my time in doing this blog. I was very weak and busy for the past few days due to the opening of classes, teacher's practices and unhealthy body because of fatigue and stress for the past weeks. Travelling is good for the soul. I can't relate with the statement until I reached at the age of 27 when Bel and CJ asked me to join them in their group to climb "Mt. Kapayas" located at Catmon, Cebu, Philippines. This photo was taken by our tour guide in the peak of Mt. Kapayas ``` ![image.png](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/freshness143/Eqd9YmEb7pMtJuHzruMmYAjVRZxRPRn8M2JhwsKPyukQGpsTAUfAitpRpUA5VXCB2nF.png) I was hesitated at first because of financial concerns. I have so many obligations in my family. I was the breadwinner. I don't even imagine to do such crazy things to "waste" money for leisure. Breadwinners are winners in their family but not on their own self most of the time. At this point if time, I pitied myself because I was left almost to nothing in my salary. I'm glad I was able to say YES at that time to go outside the house using my little money without thinking the family affairs. It was one of my most memorable and favorite travel because I considered it my first time outside my comfort zone. Imagine I just said YES because I was able to promise her that I will join them soon in an unintentionally nodding. It's important for me to have a word of honor. What you said and promised, you need to perform it in all things possible except when you cannot fulfill that promise due to health concerns. "Word of honor" is very crucial because it is one the basis to make you trustworthy as a person. I enjoyed very much this journey because it happened during pandemic times. The funny thing about that also was we were at quarantine supposedly but we refused to do the quarantine and we are exploring God's creation peacefully with a joyful heart like a child where we entrust our night with our tour guide. Our tour guide was very friendly, accomodating and rhoughtful that made our experience even more beautiful. We hiked a lot that gives us the green, green, grass of hope feels. We enjoyed running with matching sound "habang bata pa, sa damuhan maghabulan" to make use of the view. We rested awhile to enjoy the view more. We also climbed the peak of Mt Kapayas. After, we took a bathe of the Tinubdan falls solo. As if we own the place. The relaxing falls of Tinubdan from Catmon,Cebu ![image.png](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/freshness143/23u6578P2B7iDsLtuZMV716mAwz3jp2J7BoPv8PhXMxw1N9ciCyjfHzS1JYAvykp8cdYK.png) Be reminded always to make a balance life. Give time for yourself and always be grateful for the opportunities life has given you to be one of the catalyst of change in your family. It is fulfilling in the long run most especially if you do it it out of love without expecting in return. We felt discouraged and disappointed when we feel our family members are obliged also to help us back when we are in need. This mindset was very wrong. When you give, give without expecting in return to have a happier heart and more peaceful mind. We started to count the good things we have done in our family and yet questions in silence why they cannot be like us. I later realized that no one has a heart like ours. Every one is unique and helpful in other ways in their timelines and in their own soft ways. We don't also know the silent battles they had faced in their lives when they were not able to help us in the ways we expected them to help us in return. That would be all! Thank you for sparing the time to read this blog even if I once lost in blogging due to unexpected circumstances (na busy sa work).
