Eveningwalk in the park after a fresh rain shower

@friendlymoose · 2025-09-03 14:00 · Wednesday Walk

An evening walk after the rain is always special. The air is fresh, and it seems that there is more oxygen in the air. It is often also more quiet on the streets and in the parks since people suspect another rain shower or don't like the muddy paths.

Small drops of water sparkle on the first leaves that have fallen off the trees. Because we had a long and dry summer, the leaves start to fall off early this year.

I spotted this one way traffic sign that used to be blue, but due to the rain that has dripped from the trees it is slowly turning green. bord.png

In the park it was quite dark. The sun is setting earlier every day, the days are getting shorter and that is noticable. But I expect the leaves to fall again in a few weeks, so then the park will be a bit lighter again. bladerdek.png

You can already see a layer of brown leaves on the floor of the park. But there will much more when you see how many are still on the trees now. pad.png

Somewhere in the park I spotted a tree stump that recently has been cut. They sometimes cut trees that are sick or getting in the way of other trees. When I walked closer I notices the tree was in the form of a heart. heart.png

The pond in the park is totally covered in duckweed. It almost looks like a lawn. I like this photo because there are so many shared of green in it. It makes the dead tree in the back stand out.

In the park I couldn't see the beautiful colors of the sky, but one side of the park is more open. I liked the combination of the sky and the foggy meadow.
