Goals
It's always good to set yourself goals, so you have something you can work towards. That is why I joined the #saturdaysavers initiative by @eddie-earner and @shanibeer this year again. In this post I'll share an update on my progress working towards my goals.
Here are the goals I've set to reach before the end of 2025:
- 35,000 Hive (a 23,29% growth)
- 4000 HBD (a 99,60% growth)
- 40,000 Virtual Hive (a 18,38% growth)
The progress
In the following table you can see an overview of the progress of my goals.
Virtual Hive is the total of all my Hive (staked and liquid) plus the amount of Hive I can buy with my HBD at the current price of Hive ($0,213)

As you can see in the table is that I'm far over my Hive and Virtual Hive goals. That is because I've exchanged the HBD I had earlier this year to buy cheap Hive with the idea to buy back Hive when the price goes back up. But the Hive price (I also keep track of in my Google Spreadsheet) shows that the price has dropped back to a price just above $0.20
Let's hope it will go towards the $0.40 again somewhere this year, so I can buy back some more HBD.
For now I've changed the author rewards for my posts to be paid out in 50% Hive Power and 50% HBD. This way I've been able to gather 123 HBD again which I've put in my savings account to enjoy the 15% APR. That is a free $0.05 a day! Without me having to do anything for it!
You can see the nice growth in Hive in the chart below. You can also see when I exchanged HBD for Hive and vice versa. And somewhere after June, you see the HBD slowly coming off the bottom line.

Earnings
I'm using https://hiveearnings.botlord.eu/ from @borniet to check my earning in the past week.
As I've been on holiday, I have posted quite a bit of holiday/photography blogs that are often appreciated here on Hive. That certainly helps to grow my stake and work towards my goals.
My HP stake increased with almost 200 HP from author and curation rewards.
Apart from that I received almost 29 HBD that was moved directly into my savings account.
Then I also received some liquid Hive and HBD. From @bee.drone, @pob.bank and @topcomment I get liquid hive for my delegations. The commentrewarder rewards come from the Snaps posts that sometimes receive those.
All in all, it’s been quite a good week.
And the potential payouts for the coming days don't look too bad either 😊
