Good morning, everyone! 😊
Okay, so, I’ve been promising @goldenoakfarm a “gardening through the years” type of post for a while now…well here it is. 😊
The first year, we had no idea what we were doing or what we wanted to do, if I’m honest, and it shows a bit. We only managed to get a few small beds setup and planted out. 😊
By the second year, we had all the beds we thought we’d need setup and planted out and used those same beds for our crops for the next few years. 😊
We’ve had years of great weather and years of not-so-great weather. 😊
This is what we call the bad weather. 😊
We’ve grown our veggies inside and outside our house. The peppers do well here. 😊
We’ve grown our garden and increased the beds over the years. 😊
We’ve grown more and more flowers over the years as well and it started with this lovely Bleeding-Heart plant that came home in a small pot and graduated to her own section in a bed. 😊
We discovered that our rhubarb preferred the little bed outside out back door over being in the front yard where they started over a decade ago. 😊
We’ve been blessed with having this beautiful house tomato provide us with fruit year-round for the past four years. 😊
This year, so far, our corn is happily secured in the main garden and protected from our gardening crew (chickens) during their maintenance duties, and we’ve got our potatoes in the main pasture garden. 😊
