Hello friends of #hive, I made this post with the idea of explaining more about what is freestyle battles, since we started walking this path I have talked to several people and I have noticed that they know little about the subject and even knowing little have a bad idea about the Freestyle and the battles is why here I bring you a brief explanation about this. Before I start I want to tell you that in Venezuela there are several freestyle leagues and although they are little known they are quite good at what they do and have even helped young people to participate in international events.

Hola amigos de #hive, este post lo realizó con la idea de explicar más sobre lo que es las batallas de freestyle, ya que desde que comenzamos andar este camino he hablado con varias personas y he podido notar sobre que conocen poco del tema y aún conociendo poco tiene una mala idea sobre el Freestyle y las batallas es por eso que aquí les traigo una breve explicación sobre esto. Antes de comenzar quiero decirles que en Venezuela existen varias ligas de freestyle y aunque son poco conocidas son bastantes buenas en lo que hacen y incluso han ayudado a jóvenes a participar en eventos a nivel internacional.

Freestyle has several branches, so this time we will talk about what is freestyle in rap. Freestyle is the improvisation that rappers use to perform live verses, it is known as battles between rappers, sometimes they use microphones although some feel more comfortable without them because it gives them more freedom to move. Each freestyle battle is different and the most common is when a person gives them a word to start the battle and from that word begin to leave the verses but we must bear in mind that they can be free battles where the verses can be about anything, including there are freetyles that can even talk about the personal life of his opponent, that is why when it comes to being a freestyler you must know that you can not get upset by what they tell you in the battle and if you do you must respond when it is your turn and at the end of the battle you are asked to shake hands and if possible even a hug to iron out any differences that may remain.

El freestyle tiene varias ramas, por eso está vez hablaremos sobre que es el freestyle en el rap. El Freestyle es la improvisación que utilizan los raperos para realizar versos en vivos, se conoce como batallas entre raperos en algunas ocasiones se utilizan micrófono aunque algunos se sienten más cómodos sin ellos ya que les da más libertad para moverse. Cada batalla de freestyle es diferente y la más común es cuando una persona les da una palabra para así comenzar la batalla y desde esa palabra empiezan a salir los versos pero debemos tener en cuenta que pueden ser batallas libres donde los versos pueden tratarse de cualquier cosa, incluyendo hay freetyles que pueden hasta hablar de la vida personal de su oponente, es por eso que a la hora de ser freestyler debes saber que no te puedes molestar por lo que te digan en la batalla y si lo haces debes responder cuando sea tu turno y al terminar la batalla se le pide que se den la mano y si es posible hasta un abrazo para limar asperezas que puedan quedar.

Battles can last up to 30 minutes because the jury or the person in charge of the battle gives each participant one to two minutes to defend themselves and between that time interval different words are included to test the ability of each freestaler. After this battle comes the most important thing when deciding the winner and this is in charge of the jury which must take into account these parameters such as puns and the ability to improvise, this would be the main thing taken into account by the judges, however, this would depend on the rules set out at the beginning of each battle as some freestyle leagues can change their rules.

Las Batallas pueden durar incluso hasta 30 minutos ya que los jurados o la persona que esté encargada de la batalla le da de uno a dos minutos para defenderse a cada participante y entre ese intervalo de tiempo se van incluyendo diferentes palabras para así probar la habilidad de cada freestalero. Luego de está batalla viene los más importante la hora de decidir el ganador y de esto se encargar en jurado el cual debe tomar en cuenta estos parámetros como lo es los juegos de palabras y la habilidad de improvisar, esto sería lo principal que toman en cuenta los jueces, sin embargo, eso dependería de las reglas planteadas al comienzo de cada batalla ya que algunas ligas de freestyle pueden cambiar sus reglas.
