My approach towards life is simple: enjoy the process of my life, embrace who I am. I don't do grieving or mourning the things I do not have or achieve yet.
I'm always grateful for everything I have right from onset, from the least to the most important, while I focus my attention and energy on achieving the things I need. This doesn't in any way imply that I have settled but means I'm always content with whatever I have.

I learned this from my parents. We had little while I was growing up, but my parents instilled in us the habit of being grateful for the gift of life and the love that binds us together as a family, so even at some point when we lacked certain things, it never took away our happiness or peace of mind.
This is the kind of habit and way of life I grew up with, which taught me how important it is that we learn to appreciate and be grateful for all our blessings if we want peace of mind.
The thing is, we all have something that is beautiful ❤️, no matter our situation in life, and when we learn to appreciate those things instead of looking at what others have that we don't have, we can have and live a very quality life.
One of the challenges we face in our world today is that a lot of people seem to be trying to outdo each other, competing with each other instead of competing with who we were yesterday. This can only limit our personal growth, create a joyless society, jealousy, and sometimes hatred. Courtesy of social media, which has made flaunting the good things we have very easy these days, so now if your attention is mostly on those things others are showing on the Internet instead of looking inward, embracing, and enjoying your life process, then there is a problem.
> So what are the things I'm mostly grateful for today?
Well, if I'm to mention everything, the list might be endless or too long. I will just tell you a few of them.
First of all is my family life, especially my marriage. My husband and I are at this point of our union where we feel the worst part is over. You know what they say, the most challenging time of a marriage is the first few years. This is our fourth year. When I look back to see how far we have come and grown stronger, more understanding of each other, and supportive of each other's dreams, I'm truly grateful. We are not a perfect couple, don't get me wrong. Well, I haven't seen any perfect couple anywhere, but we always find our way back to each other when any challenges arise.
This marriage has blessed us with an awesome son, who brought so much joy and fulfillment to both of us, and also a new addition to the family on the way 🤭 whom I shall be talking more about in the near future hehe.
Another important thing I'm super grateful to God for is the health of my mother and that of my grandmother. These two important women in my life faced some health challenges early this year, and I'm truly grateful they are in a healthier state of their bodies and for still having them in my life. I can never take it for granted.
And lastly, I'm super grateful for my personal growth. In the past few years, I have experienced life and have gained new perspectives. I have grown emotionally, spiritually, financially, and in every other area a person should grow. It hasn't been all a smooth ride, but I'm grateful for how far I have come and, more importantly, for everything that lies ahead.
This will be all for now. Over to you, what are those things you are grateful for right now? Join us in this week's Ladies of Hive community [contest](https://ecency.com/hive-124452/@ladiesofhive/ladies-of-hive-community-contest-261). We will be happy to read your story.
