Un saludo y feliz inicio de semana a todos en esta linda comunidad. La semana pasada estuve confeccionando un lindo vestido que hoy puedo compartir con ustedes. Este vestido es para una de mis sobrinas, ella estaba como dama para una boda, y eligieron colores como turquesa y bronce para las damas. La tela era elastizada pero satinada, fue mi primera vez trabajando con una tela así, y con un modelo de vestido así, el reto era hacerlo y hacerlo bien.
Después de tomar medidas y hacer el patrón, el corte princesa fue la elección, con una falda que llegaba al suelo, y tenía una abertura desde la rodilla. Un rasgo distintivo estaba en las mangas. Así que te comento como lo confeccioné y los materiales que usé.

This dress is for one of my nieces, she was as a bridesmaid for a wedding, and they chose colors like turquoise and bronze for the ladies. The fabric was stretchy but satin, it was my first time working with a fabric like this, and with a dress pattern like this, the challenge was to make it and make it well.
After taking measurements and making the pattern, the princess cut was the choice, with a skirt that reached the floor, and had a slit from the knee. A distinctive feature was in the sleeves. So I'll tell you how I made it and the materials I used.

PROCEDIMIENTO:
Luego de realizar los patrones y sus modificaciones, corté la falda de forma circular. En esta no puede tomar la foto, tuve que estar en el suelo calculando bien con respecto a su contorno de cintura. Al cortarla la reservé. Y usé los restos de tela para el siguiente paso.
Coloqué todas las piezas de la blusa, que eran cuatro, las delanteras y las posteriores. De estas debí cortar al doble pues lo haría embonado.
PROCEDURE:
After making the patterns and their modifications, I cut the skirt in a circular shape. In this one you can't take the picture, I had to be on the floor calculating well with respect to its waist circumference. When I cut it, I set it aside. And I used the fabric scraps for the next step.
I placed all the pieces of the blouse, which were four, the front and the back ones. Of these I had to cut twice as much as I would do it with a button.
Coloqué marcas con tiza de las piezas para que al coser calzaran según el patrón.

Cosí a un centímetro cada pieza, las delanteras y las posteriores. Primero hilvané cuidadosamente y luego pasé puntada recta.
I sewed one centimeter apart each piece, front and back. First I basted carefully and then I stitched straight stitch.
Uní las piezas de costado.
I joined the pieces sideways.
Al tener todas las piezas, las cuadré primero y les pasé costura. Además, para las mangas coloqué un rectángulo que se frunce, que serían dos como ven en las fotos.

Hice una prueba inicial con la modelo, para ver si estaba yendo por buen camino. Así que tomé ajustes para colocar el cierre y las mangas no quedaran tan largas. Además de ver el largo de la falda.

Cosí el orillo de la falda, dí primero una primera vuelta a todo el alrededor, luego de limpiar las costuras, volví a coser con puntada recta para que quedara bien confeccionado.

Uní la falda con el busto, y fue el dilema colocar bien el cierre que calzara todo, como la tela es un poco gruesa, tomé tiempo con hilván primero.

Hice una segunda prueba del vestido ya con el cierre y todo. Para hacer unos ajustes finales

Ella me pidió que se le ajustara mas en la cintura, y eso hice, para sacarle una sonrisa. Además, se colocó los zapatos altos para que se viera mejor el largo.

¡Aún no hemos terminado!, fuimos a la tienda para elegir una cinta sutil que colocaría en la cintura y así realzar y combinar con sus zapatillas. Estaban estas dos opciones. Ella eligió esta.
Not done yet, we went to the store to choose a subtle ribbon to place around her waist to enhance and match her sneakers. There were these two options. She chose this one.
Con puntadas a mano se las coloqué a la cintura del vestido. Para finalizar realmente este lindo vestido de fiesta.
