Greetings, friends. For the past few days, I've been making a collection of figurines inspired by classic horror characters. These characters are icons of the genre, so making them is a good choice for this time of year. So far, I've made Jason Voorhees and Ghostface. He's a villain who attacks in nightmares and has caused many in real life. I'm talking about the true antagonist of A Nightmare on Elm Street, the great Freddy Krueger. I invite you to join me in the creative process of this character: >>Pues bien, hoy es turno del tercero de esta colección, uno de los personajes más emblemáticos del terror y que en su época fue tan conocido y popular que tuvo 9 películas (creo). Es un villano que ataca en las pesadillas y que ha causado muchas en la vida real, me refiero al antagonista verdadero de Pesadilla en Elm Street, el gran Freddy Krueger. >> >>Los invito a acompañarme en el proceso creativo de este personaje:  # Step by step I started with the base, that is, the shoes. I made them black, trying to make the figurine as similar as possible to the character. After the shoes, I continued with the pants, which I made to look tight-fitting, in a light gray color. I used a knitting needle and a wooden stick to try to make these lines and ripples in the clothing. >># Paso a paso >> >>Comencé con la base, es decir, los zapatos, los hice de color negro, tratando de hacer la figurita lo más parecido al personaje. Después de los zapatos continué con los pantalones, los cuales hice como si estuviesen ajustados, de un color gris claro. >> >>Usé una aguja de tejer y un palillo de madera para tratar de hacer estas líneas y ondulaciones en la ropa. ||| |-|-| Next was the character's signature green and red sweater. It's a knitted sweater, I think, so first I put the two colors together and then made a few thin vertical lines to create the shape you can see in the image below: >>Lo siguiente fue ese suéter tan característico del personaje, de color verde y rojo. Es un suéter tejido, creo, así que primeramente junté los dos colores y luego hice unas cuantas líneas finas y delgadas de manera vertical, para dar esta forma que pueden observar en la imagen de abajo: ||| |-|-| I did the same with the arms, making the same lines on these pieces as well. Then I placed pieces of red plasticine on the sleeves, neck, and waist, like the edges of the sweater. It should be noted that to join all these pieces together, I used numerous pieces of wire and glue to give the figurine strength and support. >>Hice lo mismo con los brazos, haciendo las mismas líneas en estas piezas también. Posteriormente coloqué trozos de plastilina roja en mangas, cuello y cintura, como los bordes del suéter. >> >>Cabe destacar que para unir todas estas piezas usé numerosos trozos de alambre y pegamento, para dar firmeza y soporte a la figurita.  After making the body, I continued with the main part, the face. Freddy Krueger has a very distinctive face that exudes evil, so that's what I wanted to illustrate in this face. I started with a ball of light-colored plasticine, then continued to shape the facial features. Take a look at the image below, on the right; that's where I began to add features such as the nose, teeth, and those fearsome eyes. >>Después de hacer el cuerpo, continué con lo principal, el rostro. Freddy Krueger tiene un rostro muy característico y que desprende mucha maldad, así que eso fue lo que quise ilustrar en este rostro. >> >>Comencé con una esfera de plastilina de color piel clara, luego continué haciendo las facciones. de la cara. Fíjense en la imagen de abajo, la de la derecha; ahí comenzaba a colocar rasgos como la nariz, los dientes y esos ojos temibles. ||| |-|-| When I finished it, I glued it in place using glue and a couple of wires to support this large piece of the figurine. At this point, I hadn't added the burn scars, which I added later using a little red paint. >>Cuando la terminé, la pegué en su lugar usando pegamento y un par de alambres para dar soporte a esta pieza tan grande de la figurita. En este punto no había colocado las cicatrices de quemaduras, las cuales agregué posteriormente usando un poco de pintura roja.  The last elements I made were two very iconic ones: the hat and the four-bladed claw, the weapon he usually uses to murder his victims. >>Los últimos elementos que hice fueron dos muy icónicos, el sombrero y la garra de cuatro cuchillas, el arma con la que suele asesinar a sus víctimas. ||| |-|-| Finally, I put all the pieces together, and the figurine was complete.
