Greetings friends, a couple of weeks ago I shared on my blog a Gastly figurine. It is the first phase of one of my favorite Pokémon, Gengar. Well, in that Gastly post I commented that I would also make the Haunter figurine and finally Gengar, well, today I would like to show you how I made Haunter, a new figurine that I will add to my Pokémon collection. Join me in the step by step of this Haunter that was quite a challenge. >># Español >>Saludos amigos, hace un par de semanas compartí en mi blog una figurita de Gastly. Es la primera fase de uno de mis Pokémon favoritos, Gengar. >> >>Pues bien, en aquella publicación de Gastly comenté que también haría la figurita de Haunter y finalmente Gengar, pues bien, hoy me gustaría mostrarles cómo he hecho a Haunter, una nueva figurita que añadiré a mi colección de Pokémon. >> >>Acompáñenme en el paso a paso de este Haunter que fue todo un reto.  # Step by step To start this figurine I used green plasticine, because it doesn't matter the color for this, it's for stuffing. The shape I gave it was similar to a drop of water bent backwards at the thinner end. I covered this initial shape with a thin layer of purple plasticine, a purple similar to the one I used for Gastly's mist. >># Paso a paso >>Para comenzar esta figurita utilicé plastilina de color verde, porque no importa el color para esto, es para relleno. La forma que le di fue una similar a una gota de agua doblada hacia atrás en el extremo más delgado. >> >>Esta forma inicial la cubrí con una delgada capa de plastilina morada, un morado similar al que utilicé para la neblina de Gastly. ||| |-|-| As I did with the body, I took more of this green plasticine and made the horns that Haunter has on the back of his body, then covered them in the same way with purple plasticine. I did this with the six horns he has, three on each side of the body. >>Tal como hice con el cuerpo, tomé más plastilina de esta de color verde y le hice los cuernos que Haunter tiene en la parte trasera del cuerpo, luego los cubrí de igual manera con plastilina morada. Hice esto con los seis cuernos que tiene, tres a cada lado del cuerpo. ||| |-|-| After making the body, which is not so difficult to do in terms of shape, but it is difficult to do in terms of the smoothness of the surface of the body, as it should be as smooth as possible, as you can see in the image below. In fact, in the image below you can also see the two hands I made. These I made quite large and without any joints to connect to the body, as this is something I will tell you more about later. >>Después de hacer el cuerpo, que no es tan difícil de hacer en cuanto a forma, pero sí en cuanto a la suavidad de la superficie del cuerpo, pues debe ser lo más lisa posible, tal como pueden ver en la imagen de abajo. >> >>De hecho, en la imagen de abajo también pueden ver las dos manos que hice. After making the body, I continued with the mouth and eyes. The mouth I made by making a hole in that place, using a cutter to make the space, so that it looks hollow. I had to be a little careful so that the fangs were clearly visible and contrasted with the background color of the mouth. For the eyes I made a pair of triangles, which I placed on either side of the head, leaving a space between each one. I then glued two little dots near the corner going towards the center. This gives the look of the bad look that Haunter has. >>Después de hacer el cuerpo, continué con la boca y los ojos. La boca la hice haciendo un agujero en ese lugar, usando un cutter para hacer el espacio, de modo que se vea hueca. Tuve que tener algo de cuidado para que los colmillos se viesen claramente y contrastaran con el color de fondo de la boca. >> >>Para los ojos hice un par de triángulos, los cuales coloqué a cada lado de la cabeza, dejando un espacio entre cada uno. Luego pegué dos puntitos cerca de la esquina que va hacia el centro. Esto da la apariencia de mirada de malo que tiene Haunter.  Well, one of Haunter's features is his floating hands, which do not connect to the body. To create this effect I cut two pieces of thick but transparent plastic. In my case, I used two pieces of acetate sheets that turned out very well, as they are thin but strong enough to hold the hands in place. In the image below you can see how the hands look with these “invisible” connections. >>Bien, una de las características de Haunter son sus manos flotantes, que no conectan con el cuerpo. Para crear este efecto corté dos trocitos de plástico grueso pero trasparente. En mi caso usé dos trocitos de láminas de acetato que quedaron muy bien, pues son delgadas pero lo suficientemente fuertes como para sostener las manos en su sitio. >> >>En la imagen de abajo pueden visualizar cómo se ven las manos con estas conexiones "invisibles". ||| |-|-| The next thing I did was a base. For this I created a sort of mist of different shades of purple, which I made as if they were a smoke on which to place Haunter, since due to the pointed shape of his lower area, he would not be able to stand up, he would fall. >>Lo siguiente que hice fue una base. Para esto creé una suerte de neblina de distintas tonalidades de morado, las cuales hice como si fuesen un humo sobre el cual colocar a Haunter, ya que por la forma tan puntiaguda de su área inferior, no podría mantenerse levantado, caería. ||| |-|-|  ## This way the figurine was finished. I thought the acetate sheets wouldn't work, but I really liked the result and it looks great with Gastly and the other Pokémon. I can't wait to see how it will look with Gengar.
