Hello friends, throughout October I shared with you a series of figurines of some of the most iconic characters in horror movies. So far, I've made several of the most terrifying ones, such as Jason Voorhees, Ghostface, and Freddy Krueger. I'm talking about Pennywise, but not the one from the current movies, but the one from the 1990 miniseries. This character was created entirely with makeup and prosthetics, which undoubtedly makes him even more terrifying. Join me in the step-by-step process of creating the final figurine in this mini-collection of horror characters. I hope you like it. >>Pues bien, hoy es turno de otro personaje que es tan emblemático como terroríficos en su época. Me refiero a Pennywise, pero no al de las películas actuales, sino al de la miniserie de 1990. Este personaje fue hecho totalmente con maquillaje y prótesis, lo que lo hace sin duda más terrorífico. >> >>Acompáñenme en el paso a paso de la figurita final de esta minicolección de personajes de terror. Espero les guste.  # Step by step As with the other characters, I started with the shoes. In this case, I made a pair of pointed black shoes, but slightly rounded. >># Paso a paso >> >>Así como con los otros personajes, comencé por los zapatos. En este caso le hice un par de zapatos negros puntiagudos, pero un poco redondeados.  After defining the shape of the shoes, I continued with the body. Specifically, I made it like a drop of water, cutting off the pointed end and adding two cylinders for the legs. I made this piece with different colors of plasticine, then covered it with a thin layer of yellow plasticine, which would be the final color. >>Después de definir la forma de los zapatos, continué con el cuerpo. Específicamente lo hice como si fuera una gota de agua, a la cual le corté el extremo puntiagudo y le coloqué dos cilindros para las piernas. >> >>Esta pieza la hice con plastilina de diversos colores, luego la cubrí con una delgada capa de plastilina amarilla que sería el color final. ||| |-|-| After that, I started making the character's vest. I did this by cutting a rectangle out of gray plasticine, which I began to paint with dots of different colors. Then I added a purple border. >>Después de esto comencé a hacer el chalequito que tiene el personaje. Este lo hice cortando un rectángulo de plastilina gris, la cual comencé a pintar con puntitos de diversos colores. Luego le coloqué un borde de color púrpura. ||| |-|-| When it dried, I placed it around the upper part of the torso. I also stuck a vertical line of black plasticine across the front, and then stuck three orange pompoms on top of this line. >>Cuando secó, lo coloqué alrededor de la parte superior del torso. Además, le pegué en la parte delantera una línea vertical de plastilina negra en toda la parte delantera, a su vez, le pegué tres pompones de color naranja encima de esta misma línea.  I continued with the character's neck. For this design, I started with a white circle and continued with a series of different colored sticks around the white circle. Here, I smoothed out the joints, and then the neck part was finished. I then placed it in position using a little glue. >>Continué con el cuello del personaje, para este diseño comencé con un círculo blanco y continué con esta serie de bastoncillos de diversos colores alrededor del circulo blanco. Aquí suavicé las uniones y entonces la parte del cuello quedó terminada, luego la coloqué en su lugar usando un poco de pegamento.  After attaching the neck, I used more purple and blue modeling clay to make the arms, as you can see in the image on the right. I also used slightly darker modeling clay for the sleeves. >>Ya después de colocar el cuello, usé más plastilina de color morado y azul para hacer los brazos, tal como pueden verlos en la imagen de la derecha. También usé plastilina un poco más oscura para las mangas de los brazos. ||| |-|-| The last thing I had to do with regard to the body was the hands. I made these using white modeling clay. I made the hands large and thick, and that's how they stayed. I secured them in place using wire and glue. >>Ya lo último que tiene que ver con respecto al cuerpo fueron las manos. Estas las hice usando plastilina de color blanco. Hice las manos grandes y gruesas y así quedaron. Las fijé en su sitio usando alambre y pegamento. ||| |-|-| Finally, it's time to tackle the most difficult and iconic part of the character: the face. The head is huge, in keeping with the character's chibi style, so that's the shape I gave it. Starting with this shape, I began to mold the face, creating the eyes, the macabre smile, and those yellowish teeth that look more like wood than bone. >>Finalmente es hora de hacer la parte más difícil y emblemática del personaje, la cara. >> >>La cabeza es gigante, por el estilo chibi del personaje, así que esa fue la forma que le di. A partir de esta forma comencé a moldear el rostro, haciéndole los ojos, la macabra sonrisa que tiene y esos dientes amarillentos que más que hueso parecen madera. ||| |-|-| Once I had molded the basic shape of the entire face, I began to color it with makeup. I lightened the white tone a little more with more white paint, painted her lips red, and painted her eyes as well. >>Una vez que moldeé la forma base de todo el rostro, comencé a colorearlo con el maquillaje. Aclaré un poco más la tonalidad blanca con más pintura blanca, le pinté los labios con rojo y le pinté los ojos también.  The last thing I did was place the red hair around the character's head. That completed the figurine's outfit, and it was finished. >>Ya lo último que hice fue colocarle el cabello rojo alrededor de la cabeza del personaje.
