Saludos, estimada comunidad de GEMS en Hive, La Semana Santa o Semana Mayor como también se la conoce tiene un gran significado en la cultura e historia de nuestro país, pero hay una ciudad en especial donde se vive con gran intensidad por el simbolismo religioso que envuelve a dicha celebración dentro de la gran feligresía que la integra. Se trata de la ciudad de Villa de Cura, famosa por estas fechas por su Santo Sepulcro, una imagen a escala del cuerpo de Jesucristo que anualmente es venerada durante la celebración de la Semana Santa. Pero en esta publicación no ahondaremos en dicho tema en especial porque lo relevante acá es que la casa donde descansa dicha imagen es también conocida como la Casa de Boves, aquel jefe realista de la guerra de independencia que tuvo dicha casa colonial como residencia en los siglos pasados y que hoy está sufriendo cambios estructurales en miras de su recuperación.

 # Comienzan los trabajos de recuperación
Desde hace ya varias semanas la Alcaldía de Villa de Cura comenzó los trabajos de remodelación de este importante edificio histórico de la ciudad que como mencioné en el párrafo anterior constituye una casa colonial de gran importancia en la historia local y por el significado religioso que ahora posee al ser el lugar de descanso del Santo Sepulcro.
Un aspecto a resaltar es que cuando se realizan trabajos de este tipo generalmente se debe encargar el mismo a arquitectos con conocimiento de edificios coloniales a fin de tratar de resguardar la forma física original que poseería la vivienda por los años 1800, independientemente de los materiales utilizados para su construcción resguardar la forma física constituye uno de sus atractivos más importantes porque forma parte de la memoria histórica de la vivienda colonial de la Venezuela de la época independentista.
Aplaudimos la iniciativa por parte de los organismos gubernamentales en salvaguardar el patrimonio histórico local al iniciar estos trabajos de recuperación para dejarlos como testimonios a las futuras generaciones de villacuranos.
